The New Girl is a film that seems to delve into a world where it's more about "shall we be nice", rather than just a traditional horror. The main characters bicker about whether they're going to let this flailing strange girl in, and it's interesting making parallels between their reactions and mental tugs, and the actual plight of refugees in the real world. Do we help, is it at our own cost etc.
The location is mainly in one cabin, so it would have been good to have had a spread of locations but maybe it couldn't have been doen with more with the storyline. As for the storyline, it leaves you asking 'what about this', and 'what about that', which actually just makes me want to watch what happened before she wakes up. But it's a short film, and for that length it really delivers.
Anyway, won't say more than that, go to a film festival and watch yourself xxx
