So far, I find this series to be interesting and realistic because it looks at the everyday problems facing many Indigenous people today. First, the family gets called to go up north to help their relatives out because they are going through with their own struggles. At first, the matriarch encounters problems and eventually becomes frustrated with husband for going up there to begin with. However, over time, they settle in nicely and end up saving themselves and their relatives.
That one scene where the kid overdosed ----> that was one of many sad moments. Meth addiction is a sad reality with many kids, as it was portrayed here. But at the end of Season 1, it showed a happy ending. However, more seasons will follow.
