Great low budget film

Great low budget click with lots of tension, humour and action. Really enjoyed watching this and about to watch the second part. Hope it lives up to the expectations set by the first one. When a bunch of misfits band together to start a revelution against an apparently opressive regime, they have to fight for the country's freedom as well as their own lives. Witty and well put together, a few bits here and there that felt a bit meshed but take it for what it is and you will enjoy it. An low budget rapid fire (quite literally) action piece.

More to Give..

Take this budget short film for what it is, a short, a brief glimpse into something much bigger. It starts out in an established storyline, a military base surrounded by country side, where the bad guys are very much bad, and the rebels are the good guys.. You don't know what's going on as such, but it's safe to assume there is a war, or similar, with good, bad and a rebellious middle section. The war has been going on for some time, allowing me to over look the inconsistencies in weapons, as the rebels for the most part will acquire guns from all over. Lots of action and some strong acting, despite what appears to be a lot of people who haven't done anything like this before. Yes, you can see it's on a budget, but that doesn't take away from the positives that can be found in both short movies, the acting is strong, the action is consistent and not entirely over the top, the sniper is a strong character with strong acting talent, as is the "Ex dealer" who's Whitty remarks break up the action just enough to maintain suspense with out being corny.. the first short makes sure you want to the second.. to be honest I do want to see the before and after.. as I'm interested to see what how it began and how it may end. Now you may be reading this thinking "you like so much why score it a 7". There are some "Bad" points, the first being that while yes it's a budget and as such, like all the films, they have used Rifs or Airsoft guns, which isn't a problem, but it would appear they all have unlimited ammunition, I saw only 3 instances of mag changes, I know it sounds petty but it to me it adds some more realism. The second minor issue I found was the setting snapped between a rather battered old military base in keeping with the story, to an industrial estate which appeared to be very modern and very clean.. again not terrible, but it did make me pause for moment due to the rapid change of environment.

As above when all is said and done, there is a promising storyline to be found and hope to see more of this in the future
