beautifully made film

Great cinematography and camera work! Looks like film, I wouldn't have guessed that it was shot on digital. I loved the driving and traveling scenes; the scenery was beautifully captured. Though the premise of the story is a bit negative and unhappy, the beautiful shots and camera work made the film very enjoyable to watch. I enjoyed being treated with intelligence, the story was not spoon fed to me and things were not fully explained, like most films are nowadays. The music was a great compliment to the film. It fit the scenes well and helped with the transitions. I loved the transitions with the still photos from Shawn's childhood. Well done on a VERY low budget!

Artistic and moody independent film

The music and themes from this movie haunt me to this day. Similar in feel to Vincent Gallo's "Buffalo 66," it portrays the conflict between the self, family and romantic relationships. One aspect of the film that stands out is the acting. The characters are immensely vulnerable and the actors represent this expertly. The minimalist dialog further showcases the acting talent. The pacing is a perfect fit to the story. Every detail has been attended to -- there are no jarring moments or awkward transitions. Clearly a labor of love, one person wrote, directed, filmed, acted in and edited the movie. It is very relatable and well worth a viewing!

Interesting and Quirky

Brian is a passionate film maker and Delirium contains considerable nuanced detail in both the dialog and the shots. The film provides ample time to consider that detail as we follow our characters on their journey to Utah. Along the way there are some beautiful shots of this country as seen from a travelers eye.

I enjoyed the fact that Delirium did not tie up all the loose ends for us. I don't want to give away the ending but the films protagonist has a difficult decision to make and I don't think any of us knew what the decision would be until the actual moment it was made. The unscripted feel of the ending meant I left the movie with a slightly uneasy feeling and my wife and I found that our conversation on the way home much more interesting then after watching today's typical commercial fare.

If you enjoy the drama of life I think you will find Delirium an interesting couple of hours but see it with a friend as you will want to talk about it!

Sleeper

Flawless pacing, perfectly scored.

This was a total cinematic journey. Really well shot. The layer of understated yet very solid story beneath the audio/visual artistry blended seamlessly. Brian is a reserved actor, which was a perfect complement to the atmosphere. There was time and space given for character development that is so often missing from films. No pandering to the lowest common denominator by hitting you over the head with the plot. I felt treated intelligently as a viewer. This is top quality work on a low, low budget. Can't imagine what these guys will do with a serious one!

Will be watching........
