Great episode

Great episode

This was such an enjoyable episode that makes me feel so much ether it's love, happiness, anger, sadness, or pride for so many different characters. First I will say that I am so happy for Amelia and Link. In the beginning I was a little unsure about their romance, but now I have come to really love these two as they have such great chemistry. I'm so happy and relieved they got back together in this episode and best of all.... Link is the father of Amelia's baby after all. Hallelujah. I also continue to love watching Link and Amelia's friendship. They have one of the strongest friendships I've ever seen and I love how they continue to support and be there for one another. Jo especially continues to show how far she's come and how strong she is, especially after being left by Alex last week. Her speech to Link how she will rise again and encourage him to things right with Amelia were great. It was one of the best and most proudest moments I've seen of her yet.

The moments that made me angry in this episode were how Teddy and Jackson acted. They really disappointed me in this episode, especially Teddy which is really quite sad because she is one of my favourite characters. First, she badmouths Amelia regarding the situation with her pregnancy and then she cheats on Owen with Tom TWICE. One thing those two have in common is that they both have a tendency to self sabotage their happiness. Next was Jackson. I hated how he treated Vic and how he was judging Dean's character. He doesn't know Dean so he has no right to judge him. I'm glad that Vic dumped Jackson because she deserves better. I think Maggie was right what she said before, that Jackson can't stand being alone so he jumps from one relationship to the next. As for Maggie, I LOVED HER. She is such a great person and I loved how she defended Amelia to Teddy. Maggie truly is a great sister.

Overall, this was just a great episode that gave me so much to feel about. This episode was a rollercoaster ride of emotions.

Not the greatest

This is not the best episode I've seen. This episode lacks continuity. It drags in some parts and jumps around in other parts.

A series of vignettes rather than an hour of drama
StarofAirdrie13 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Mars is a busy place because 'Life on Mars' is more a series of vignettes than a true cohesive hour of drama. Questions are answered while ethics and morals are tested. I don't think that this episode is considered a crossover event with Station 19, but viewing the 3/12/20 episode of Station 19 'Born to Run' not only has an awesome title but does add to 'Life on Mars' and was good while featuring Bailey and Amelia.

Amongst the ongoing plots covered within the ~45 minutes are Jo's life after Alex; Maggie's information and therefore Teddy's preemptive strike that Owen could be Amelia's baby's father; Deluca's hospital-mandated therapy for his mania-bordering-on-aggression; this is in addition to the teased material: the wealthy inventor, Meredith's diabetic who rations her insulin, and the reveal of Amelia's unborn son's paternity.Jackson and Vic hit a snag and there is a story about a man injured on train tracks while kissing his girlfriend - as an aside, she somehow is a Rhode Scholar.

Deluca in therapy could become interesting but I would have preferred Dr Wyatt or Dr Carr, an established show character on the show, rather than a new therapist... or more than 30 seconds of screen time but this could be/should be ongoing. His aberrant behavior is shown later (and perhaps the show will also continue to highlight that manics and alcohol do not mix).

Meredith's patient, an insulin dependent diabetic comes in severely injured after a fall due to low blood sugar. In true GA form, this addresses the egregious pricing on insulin which is up to $500/month today

Koracick is tested both by Teddy and also by the inventor who needs a medical excuse for a failed rocket which exploded over Seattle and will go to great lengths to get what he wants.

And yes, finally, Amelia's son's paternity is revealed, and Link's good guy and boyfriend status returns.

I think it is worth a watch.

* (Insulin prices are up to $500/month today - double from 2012, and it was only $21 in the mid 1990's which today would be only $34.00. yes, I'm a practitioner of the healing arts - Incidentally WA state legislators are looking at a bill to cap out of pocket insulin costs at $100/month to prevent such outcomes).

Warning: Spoilers
This Episode begins with Jo and Link, they are waiting at the station in the morning. Meredith tells Amelia that Alex left to Kansas. Teddy tells Maggie that she had sex with Tom. Brad has been brought to the hospital, he fell on the train tracks at the station. Teddy tells Owen that Amelia's baby might by his child. Richard tells Bailey that he will stop with surgery. Jackson and Vic broke up with each other. Bailey tells Meredith that Richard is stepping down from surgery. Amelia kissed Link, they are back together. Amelia tells Link that he is the father of her baby. Nice Episode of Grey's Anatomy Season 16, dramatic Episode. Link and Amelia are back together, meanwhile Teddy is cheating on Owen because she thinks that he is the father of Amelia's baby!
