- Team Flash battle Godspeed, and turned to an unexpected ally for help.
- When Godspeed returns, Barry turns to Hartley Rathaway for help. However, things get tense quickly after Barry realizes one of the changes from Crisis is that The Flash and Pied Piper are now enemies. Meanwhile, Iris tries to escape the Mirrorverse.—brahamdali
- Joe sits in his new home and hears someone comes in. Barry is there, and Joe puts his gun away as Barry hugs him and says that it's Iris. Once Barry explains, Joe admits that he noticed something weird was going on with Iris. He asks where the other duplicates are, and Barry says that the Mirror Iris is gone and he doesn't know where the other duplicate. Barry worries that he can't save Iris and Joe assures him that he believes his foster son can.
The next day at STAR Labs, Barry tells the others what happened. Cisco realizes that he's been living with a copy of Kamilla, and wonders if Kamilla and Singh are already dead. Barry doesn't have an answer for Cisco, and Cisco wants him to say that he has a plan to get the originals back. When Barry says that he doesn't have a plan, his speed gauge turns red and Cecile notices. Barry starts to lose his control and Cecile calms him down, warning that they can't tear each other down. She goes to call Singh's husband, while Allegra goes to check the Bradley building. When Nash offers to go with her, Allegra angrily refuses and Ralph invites Nash to come with him as he looks for details on Eva.
Cisco suggests that there might be a way to enter the Mirrorverse vibrationally, and says that he'll look for one on his own. Cecil tries to comfort Barry, but he says that he needs to regain his speed or he'll be useless against Eva if they do find her.
In the Mirrorverse, Iris records a video log for Barry and figures that Kamilla is somewhere in the Mirrorverse and she has to find her. Iris suffers from neural dissonance because of how the Mirrorverse affects her brain. She tells Barry that she'll always be with him and turns the computer off.
Allegra approaches Barry in the workshop and wonders how she missed spotting that Iris and Kamilla were fakes. Godspeed speeds in, knocks down Barry and Allegra, and trains vibrations on him, draining his speed. Nash arrives and shoots his pulse cannon at Godspeed, and Godspeed recovers and speeds off before Nash can shoot him again.
Later, Nash explains that the other Godspeeds locked up in Iron Heights are cybernetic drones. Nash and Cisco argue, and Ralph finally tells them to stop and asks the others what they're thinking about stopping Godspeed. Cisco snaps at him and then focuses on the problem, and Allegra says that Godspeed's vibrations are what caused the damage. Cisco realizes that Godspeed reverses his vibrations to extract speed from Barry, and says that they need a deep understanding of vibrational sonics. Barry suggests that Hartley could help them, and Cisco warns that Hartley hates Flash even more post-Crisis. Cisco explains that he did some research and learned why in the new timeline, Barry blew up the sonic weapon of one of Pied Piper's henchmen by accident. The henchman was Pied Piper's right-hand man, Roderick Smith.
Frost calls and Ralph goes to take it. Meanwhile, Cisco tells the others that Roderick is locked up in an energy containment cell at Mercury Labs, and it's the only thing keeping him from disintegrating. Nash figures that they can make Roderick right so Hartley will agree to help them, and says that he has a theory.
Ralph goes to Frost's apartment, and says that a patch is keeping her wound stable. She thanks Ralph for what he's done for her in the last year, and tells him that she might be leaving soon. Ralph assures her that they'll fix her, but Frost worries that she might not be coming back for a long time. He asks what's really bothering her, and figures that Frost is worried about seeing Carla. Frost says that Carla is Caitlin's mother and doesn't know her, and she's the cold, dark part of Caitlin that Carla tolerates. Ralph doesn't believe it, telling Frost that she's just as important as Caitlin. He figures that if she doesn't see it, maybe she has a long way to go.
That night, Flash goes to Hartley's apartment. Pied Piper blasts him down, and Flash tries to apologize. He says that he might be able to help Roderick, and Pied Piper hesitates to blast him again. Flash admits that it's his fault Roderick was hurt, and needs Hartley's help to stop Godspeed. Hartley insists that Flash can't help Roderick, and no one can. Hartley was unable to stabilize Roderick with his sonics, and sent him to Mercury Labs. Nash comes in and explains that he isn't Harrison, and says that there may be a way to help Roderick. If they can combine concentrated light energy with an inert gas with high thermal conductivity, it might slow down Roderick's molecules and give him his body back. Hartley agrees that if they can stabilize Roderick, he might help them.
In the Mirrorverse, Iris finds the real Kamilla and says that she's the real Iris. Kamilla demands something only the real Iris would know, and Iris talks about how Kamilla met Cisco when she was bartending. Iris continues until Kamilla believes her, and hugs her. Iris realizes that she never saw Eva, and explains that Eva is behind all of it. Kamilla has been trying to analyze all the objects the mirror gun sent them there, and Iris realizes that she can see the data on the computer screens because Kamilla isn't suffering from the neural dissonance yet. Iris tells her that she shouldn't be there and walks out.
Hartley goes with others to STAR Labs and insults Cisco, and Barry suggests that Hartley and Cisco work together. Hartley knows that Cisco was Vibe and Barry is Flash, and then realizes that Cisco can't vibe any more. Cisco says that he gave up his powers by choice, and he's working with Hartley to save the person he loves, and tells Hartley that he wouldn't understand because he only loves himself.
Cecile gets Roderick from Mercury Labs, and Roderick is unconscious and in a constant state of vibrational flux. Nash and Allegra arrive, and Nash has Allegra use a blast of UV light while he pumps helium into Roderick containment chamber. Roderick starts to stabilize but then screams in pain, and Hartley tells Nash to stop. Nash finally does, and Hartley says that he was stupid to trust them, and to never ask him for help. He walks out, and Godspeeds in and tells Barry to give him his velocity or Central City suffers. Godspeed easily avoids Barry and says none of them are fast enough to stop him, then speeds off.
Later, Barry is working out equations in the lab for the artificial speed force. Nash comes in and finally angrily says that they' wasting time, and blames Barry for Joe and Iris not being there. Barry angrily admits that it's his fault, and tells Nash that he doesn't know what to tell the other members of the team. Nash tells Barry that he can find his way out if he trusts himself, and Barry wonders how he can do that when he lived with an impostor for five weeks. Barry bows his head, and Nash tells him that he has to forgive himself, and if he can't do it for himself, do it for Iris. Considering that Iris isn't there, Barry realizes why Hartley's world is over. He thanks Nash and leaves.
Cisco is working in the lab as Cecile looks on. When a circuit shorts out, Cisco bows his head in grief. Cecile assures him that Kamilla knows how to take care of herself. Cisco says that having Kamilla with him gives him the confidence he needs, but she isn't there and all he can think about is the hero he used to be who wasn't afraid to do the impossible. He wonders if he's making the wrong decisions without Kamilla or Vibe there, and Cecile tells him that Kamilla fell in love with Cisco, not Vibe. Cecile points out that Cisco is a brilliant engineer who has never backed down from the impossible, and Cisco agrees with her.
Iris continues to suffer from the dissonance, and Kamilla comes in and asks her if she's okay. When Iris says that Eva proved that Iris can't trust herself and her own instincts, Kamilla tells her not to beat herself. If Iris wants to escape, she has to trust herself... just like Kamilla does. Iris figures that they should find Singh so they can all get out together.
Barry finds Hartley in the pipeline, and says that he knows what it's like to be responsible for losing someone he loves. He realizes that Roderick is Harley's boyfriend. Hartley blames him for what happened to Roderick, and Barry assures him that he got him the help Roderick needed by getting him to Mercury. Barry talks about how Nash told him to forgive himself, and Hartley is seemingly unimpressed. Cisco says over the loudspeaker that they a big problem at Iron Heights, and Barry tells Hartley that he can stay there or be the person Roderick fell in love with.
When Barry goes to the Cortex, Cisco tells him that the satellites picked up a massive energy surge at the prison. They review the video and discover that the real Godspeed took all of the speed from his drones. Godspeed then speeds through the city and goes on TV, saying that if Flash doesn't surrender to him then a citizen will die every 60 seconds. Cisco tells Barry that he doesn't have a lot of speed, and they need to call in reinforcements. Barry says that Godspeed is his responsibility, and even if he doesn't have enough speed, he has to try.
Hartley hears the broadcast and Barry talking to Cisco.
Flash arrives and speeds away Godspeed's hostage, and dares him to catch him. The two speed off through the city, and Cisco warns Flash over the comms that Godspeed is faster than him. Flash figure that he knows the city better, but Godspeed speeds past him and knocks him down. He starts draining Flash's sped, but Flash speeds off. Godspeed gets on top of a building, and Flash tries to pursue him but his speed runs out and he falls.
Pied Piper arrives and break Flash's fall, and Pied Piper tells Flash that all he has to do is duplicate the same lightning bold he threw at Roderick. Godspeed unleashes the speed lightning, and Flash runs away from the building, and speeds back after hex built up a blast of lightning. When he comes back, Flash and Pied Piper combine their energies and blast Godspeed. They discover that Godspeed is bleeding a blue li1quid, and Flash tells Pied Piper that they'll find a way to stabilize Roderick. Nash and Cisco both realize that Godspeed's blood is charged sound, and tell Flash and Pied Piper that they have a solution for Roderick.
Later at STAR Labs, Cisco and Nash explain that charged sound can act as a permanently bonding agent. Cisco tries to assure Hartley, who says that if Cisco kills Roderick then Hartley will kill Cisco. Roderick stabilizes and Hartley tells Roderick that Flash help bring Roderick back. Flash, Cisco, and Nash leave so that Hartley and Roderick can have some space.
Once they're alone, Barry says that he questioned Godspeed, who said that the one who sent him wants infinite velocity. Then he learned that Godspeed was another drone.
Ralph goes to Frost's apartment and apologizes for what he said earlier. Frost tells him that he was right, and Ralph gives him a "Dib-Loma" that he graduated his life course. Ralph assures her that being terrified of a parent is normal, and talks about how he still wants to see his father even though his father walked out on him. When Frost worries what Carla is going to think of her, Ralph figures that Frost rejected Carla first in self-defense. He assures her that she's a wonderful human being.
Barry walks Hartley and Roderick out, and Roderick thanks Barry for bringing him back, and not giving up. Hartley asks Roderick to give him and Barry a moment alone, and then tells Barry that he'll get his world back if he believes his world can change. That's what he forgot, and Barry reminded him.
Barry goes back to the Cortex and tells the team that they've lost a lot, and it felt like there was nothing left to lose. He says that some things can't be taken, and they still have their faith in each other and their refusal to stop fighting for the ones they love. Barry tells the others that they're going to find Eva, fight her, and get everyone back. The team agrees and Cisco says that he has an idea. They need a perpetual motion machine, and he can build one. All they need is one component, and he knows they can find it at Atlantis. Barry asks Allegra to stay even though she wants to go with Cisco.
In a building, Eva emerges from a power cell and says that she's coming for Carver.
