The subtle racism in this episode was so disappointing. Forensic files wants to claim the forensic tech helped solved this murder after 6 years of no luck. But really, it was a group of racially motivated detectives refusing to look for other leads because they were so focused on the "illegal aliens" that were their prime suspects. How sad. Not to mention the detectives referred to the murder victim as a GYPSY, LIKE WOW, they also mentioned something about "girls who end up like her". I literally was cracking up when the forensic sketch came back and it was a white male and the detectives seemed BLOWN AWAY. I literally just knew that was going to happen. Like "oh my goodness how silly, we wasted so much time! Oh well!" Just a disappointing episode where people are trying to make themselves look like heroes when the rest of America just thinks they're coming off stupid and racially unaware. Do better next time. Shame on you people. This episode was so disrespectful to this poor victim.

it's 2020, we can do better

Tony Mancuso, a sheriff for the Calcasieu Parish in this episode, calls a group of construction workers "illegal aliens". I'm disapointed in Forensic Files for letting something like this air. Obviously more disapointed in the sheriff, but sad that no one thought to but that bit out of the show. Human beings aren't aliens, regardless of political stance or personal beliefs. Calling a human an illegal alien does not get your point across any more than saying immigrant, or undoccumented. If these construction workers were white, regardless of US citizenship, that not would have been said. Do better y'all, its 2020.
