I found this episode engaging. The pacing was a bit better. I found it better written than the other episodes.

I've completely lost interest in anything the Japanese woman is doing. The kids have moved up a little in terms of interest. The soldier finally is a little engaging. Ok. I'll stay. I may keep it ion n the background while doing something else?

The show is not nor has it ever been about showing the war with aliens, barely showing the aliens at all. Speaking of to the whiner that stated the CGI is cheap so they needed complete darkness. Well they showed an alien in the daytime via excellent CGI. The whiners can't even get their facts straight. That was not a tension pneumothorax which is treated differently; it was a traumatic pneumothorax. He was still in pain, barely moving and who knows how many hours later. The whiner who stated a soldier never gives up his weapon. Yeah sure. He was in a crowded plane full of mostly civilians supposedly taking him where he wants to go. He showed compassion giving his weapon to allow the family to board. Sure that would never happen with a real soldier, sure. Would the soldiers treated him differently in real life? In real life I'd say yes they probably would and challenge him. Shows not perfect. The show is about 4 different groups of characters dealing with an alien invasion. Not peow peow shooting aliens. And most of the characters ARE likable. Especially the Arabic Mom dealing with a worthless husband. Is the show perfect ? No. Does it have plot holes like all shows? Sure it does. But it's different from the hundreds of sci fi shows that I've seen over the years and I'm really enjoying it. Get lost and stop whining if you don't care for it. This is quality TV.

You have zero perception. It wasn't even 100 feet let alone hundreds. And they did not drive hundreds of miles. You conclude that because there is no ravine like that close to London? Who would know or care? You think the kids were walking hundreds of miles when there would be closer towns. Obviously wherever they were it was only several miles not hundreds ( existing quarry or not ). This is what I'm talking about the whining instead of just using some logic or some suspension of disbelief.

Everything feels forced and contrived.

Hands up who thinks you can walk around and act normal within a few hours of having stopped breathing and suffered a tension pneumothorax?

Making everyone look serious and delivering slow dialogue does not make it worthy of an Oscar. At times - like Lady Exposition in the 4 x 4 it is just painful to sit through.

The scene at Kabul airport defies belief - I'm pretty sure pointing your gun at armed soldiers would have the opposite effect.

The best thing about this series is the theme tune.

The scene at Kabul with shouty American was laughable. At the end of the scene the extras seemed to be holding themselves back from getting onto the plane.

They were probably ensuring none of them were in episode 8 of this crock.

The woman and her annoying family finally found safety although the man seems to be infected with alien muck.

The most ridiculous part of this rubbish is the English school kid drama.

We are expected to believe that one schoolteacher can take a bunch of kids hundreds of miles from London on a trip nobody knows about with a pupil that has epilepsy. There is nothing remotely like the ravine they drove through anywhere near London.

Then after driving over a cliff of a quarry hundreds of feet high crashing nose first and exiting without any injuries (except for teacher) they climb the sheer face of the quarry to get out of it.

It was a quarry so you would expect a road out for those working there but no lets climb a sheer cliff.

Then some random dishevelled woman trying to escape the aliens, turns round and drives them the hundreds of miles in the opposite direction she was going, back to London so they can go home.

She tells them of the alien invasion and the American President saying something as we here in Britain won't do anything until the POTUS tells us to.

We see another alien looking dolefully at a wall, probably lamenting it's signing up for this garbage, before hopping over a fence.

They look even worse than last week.

The nonsensical drama that is staring out into space Japanese Lesbian culminated in her being arrested moments before she could find the space station as obviously that would be the first thing they did turn everything off rather than wait a bit and see what she found as it might be important.

I might have missed something as Casper the kid said something probably vital but I FFW most of his scenes.

This is worse than the Fox one with its humans from the future and robot dogs.

I never seen a such a boring expansive tv show.... So boring and badly written.

A solder will never give up his weapon, I know I was one.

A lot of close shots on the annoying Japanese girl face why so close. I know she is pretty and has good skin but still it's so annoying... So lot of money waisted.
