Claims inspiration from Aussie show
u_urcle10 February 2022
Which is more than likely inspired by Drunk History (4years earlier)

That show has far better writing, acting and producing.

(not to mention the adult premise is far more entertaining)

Let's hope that this show studies this prime example, to make a far more entertaining season 2.

this made me smile the whole way through
cat_schroedingers25 August 2022
I dont usually write reviews. But this was such a surprise to me.

Cuz of severe health issues, i have watched an enourmous amount of shows and movies. I tend to love scify, horror and documentaries. Since my situation started to decline i felt depressed more and more recently by the sheer number of irl issues that are portrayed more accuratly in shows and the revealing docs that have been coming out about the state of a lot of surpressed material (esp in terms of abuse of power and i mean the factual not the conspiracy kind).

THIS show made me realize how deep the need in humans is, to see the other sides. I dont care for the comments about this beeing made with a political-ish intent.

Imo this is a feel good show in a way better context than any superhero, action, or romcom stuff.

If u want to listen and relax. This is awesome.

Afterwards at least me personally feels ready to face the next part of current reality of covid, the ucrainian war, the social issues of my homecountry and everything else :)

so to me: this show is worth 10 outta 10 ^^

Changed my mind

I really liked the first episodes but then I realized the stories were chosen less as an interesting story and more for political correctness. And even if that was the plan, SURELY there could have been individuals that fit their mold who had more interesting stories. The reenactments were cute but the stories were so ordinary after the first couple.

Every story so far has been hilarious.
sgguru22 January 2022
I've been laughing so hard, multiple times, and I'm only on the second episode. I wonder where they find these people. The telling of these real-life adventures, just keep getting better as the stories progress. The two hosts have intelligent questions, that add to the story-teller's excitement. I did pick up on the omission of the actress Alexa Mansour from the cast credits, who plays the high school age Yasmin, in the second episode, Yasmin. The first story about Rick Steigerwald's Superbowl experience kept me laughing the entire time. It just kept getting better and better. What's not to love about this show?

Different And Entertaining
lesliebham9 April 2022
I wasn't sure if I would like the show. But it is just so different from everything that is out now. This is reality that is truly unscripted and so entertaining! Everyday people tell true stories and are engaged by Ed and Randall to encourage them along. Funny reenactments add to the story and just make it an entertaining experience. I think the low ratings reflect how unusual this show is and that, if given the chance, the show could really become a huge success.

Hilarious!
We loved it and there's nothing like it on tv. Give it a chance. The episodes get more interesting as it goes on and we were rolling with belly laughs.

Really not that entertaining.
crose68721 April 2022
The first couple stories were interesting and semi funny but then the stories just got really lame and unfunny as the season progressed. You can tell that most (or all) of the storytelling bits were filmed in a single night due the ever growing bags under Ed Helms eyes. Ed and Randal also seem extremely bored...the amount of fake laughs and interest they pretend to show while hearing the stories is SO obvious. If you have nothing else to watch, sure this will temporarily fill the void but if you have literally anything else on your watchlist I suggest that instead.

Really funny and different
travelsoon19 September 2022
This show is surprising and funny but in a really unique way. Every week they take a different real person who has a story that is strange or outrageous and they retell it to Ed Helms and Randall Park who have never heard the story before. Their reactions and commentary are part of the joy! It's a different take on a show and one I really enjoyed. A couple of the stories were abit slow but overall it was really good and heartwarming in places. The great thing is that it is normal people telling their story rather than just actors rehashing it and Ed and Randell are literally like two normal people sharing their reactions, you totally forget they are famous when your watching it to be honest. It works really well. Comfort food TV that makes you smile is always a winner for me I'd like to see more of this show so hope there is another season.

Americanized Remake of a Rip-off
OwensDad123 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Here's a spoiler, this show is terrible. Why in God's name can there not be any original material in Hollywood? Everything is now a carbon copy, remake, reboot, retelling, etc. This is an Americanized version of an Australian show that's a ripoff of Drunk History. Not original in the least and every episode is rinse and repeat. The stories aren't interesting or exciting or funny in any way. Helms and Park should be embarrassed.

  • A guy sneaks into the super bowl? Heard it.

  • A girl gets an allergic reaction at her wedding? So what.

  • A guy goes to a bachelor party he was accidentally invited to? Hilarious.

But I guess when you're getting paid, that can cover up a lot of embarrassment and shame. Skip it and watch Drunk History.

A Very Funny show created in a fresh intriguing way. They'll have you laughing yet possibly touch your heart !
cmmilner24 March 2022
So funny and so unlike most shows on TV. The show brings in people to be interviewed about their unique crazy stories . Funny past family events, some emotional touching events. Its wonderful how the 2 hosts /stars Ed Helms and Randall Park interact with each story teller. Sometimes they have short recreations done by many TV stars you will recognize.

As we spread the word about the show ,we found that friends, relative of various age groups were all hooked too.

We hope there are many more seasons !
