The first arc of Spectacular Spider-Man has mostly been a reintroduction of sorts so all the familiar elements are set in stone and don't take up space later down the line or so they could be turn around but even then it has been a great ride full of conflicts in both of Peter's worlds.
Building off the last episode again, Dr Connors' finally gives himself in to his own investigation and injects lizard genus onto himself, giving birth to the Lizard.
Like the last episode, the way the show presents Connors' perspective is understandable. Him having no arm makes him really go obsessed with his own investigation and the moment where he pulls it off for a moment is really beautiful. His moments with his family, the really mature and releatable converstaions with his wife and the adorable interactions with his son makes the turn into the Lizard much more satisfying, even more taking into account it has been teased and built up from the last few episodes.
As for Peter, his money problems have made him really keen on getting a job, with a particular photo-taking job at that one newspaper being in his mind. The stakes are raised higher on a personal level for Peter when he realizes the conflict itself is connected to Dr Connors', leaving huge consequences that turns his life around, all while planting seeds for future events of the season.
With a trademark witty script, fantastic animation and a great understandable human conflict, it's one of the series' most effective closures to an arc. More stakes on the Spidey side of things would've made this episode a tad better, but that doesn't mean it isn't great on it's own.
7/10.
