Actually, too well: he soon transforms into a dino-like monster, whose instinct spares nobody, except his son Billy. - Peter has been struggling to make money for his aunt, he realizes the photos didn't turn out well. At the Connors' residence, Curt injects himself with the lizard DNA and his arm has regrown. Martha is thrilled about this but she is shocked that her husband was using untested DNA on himself. Peter, Gwen, and Eddie celebrate Curt's victory with his family. The celebration is immediately cut short, when Martha discovers that her husband has scales on part of his body. Peter and his friends try to find a way to cure Curt. Billy becomes afraid about what might happen to his father, but Peter assures him that they will do everything they can to save his father. Curt soon turns into the Lizard, he causes a rampage in the subway and the zoo. Spider-Man is able to cure Curt of his Lizard persona. However, the Connors, Gwen, and Eddie discover Peter has took photos of the incident. Martha ends Peter's internship at the ESU lab, but his friendship with Gwen and Eddie becomes strained. At home, Peter becomes angry about the injustice he has gone through and he thinks about taking the gene cleanser he has taken from the Connors' lab. Peter soon looks at a photo of himself and his uncle, he realizes that he has managed to save Billy's father. Peter webs the gene cleanser underneath his desk and he goes off to patrol New York as Spider-Man.—dawsonpersi
