...get rid of her! Her lifestyle & personality ruin a good show! Don't even like the sound of her voice! Hopefully teen girls don't watch this show--a roll model she sure isn't! Thankful I can fast forward over her parts!

Maya character as well

As a firefighter she's a great character. As her promotion to lieutenant was quick and unexpected it made sense to add a challenger and shake things up and of course keep her in the unit when the other characters advised 2 lieutenants per station (so they broke the rules to keep her). The promotion to captain was simply weird as there should have been a test based on warren character to become medic one. I personally hate Maya character as captain due to her severe lack of experience and her military style control but do appreciate the development of the character where she does struggle and start to figure out how to lead (especially when probey however spelled showed his yellow belly and by end of season 3 Maya started to get him in line). I don't relate to Maya character at all but to show her outrage about her father makes her more real and of course shows this actress can act and not just be superficial winner.

I normally post very in-depth reviews of shows but reading the above made me feel I needed to write a defensive review. Watching Maya's character develop across all 3 seasons so far is a highlight for this show and a credit to both the actress & writing team. I am excited to see her development in Season 3.
This show is a fantastic watch & undoubtedly the best "Fire fighter" drama that's been on TV (and I'm older enough to remember London's Burning). The cross overs between Greys & Station 19 always feel relevant & again a credit to the writing & production team.
Whilst Andy was technically the "lead" character we were introduced to in Greys Anatomy as part of the build up to the season 1 premier I feel both Vic & Maya are now just as important. The three of these characters have gone through so much with both positive & negative sides of their characters explored but that's what makes them relatable as we are all flawed but we are also all flawless.
