Like show; but these quickie flashbacks are annoying
tkjunkmail-3401516 May 2020
I like the show. But what I don't like is the quickie flashbacks inserted into the scripts that modern writers and directors insist on using. They think it shows how creative they are and shows their abilities. But what it does is break up the flow of the story and ruins the plots.

Bad writing galore.

Warning: Spoilers
I guess some shows are just un redeemable. They clearly outdone themselves, considering it was the season finale. The level of stupidity and cringe was outstanding. I liked the part with the bombs victims rescue. Because it was solely about the story, and not this cold philosophy for the simple minded. Then Maya's father pulled her poney tail, so she cut it. As a way of being symbolic (?) before proceeding to make this big love declaration, to DeLuca's sister. At the hospital's relaxation era... Every time I watch this show, I can imagine how their PDA would play out in real life, and it is hilarious. But this scene in particular, was very awkward, with Teddy as the last minute matchmaker... The whole Warren/Dixon/Sullivan situation ended exactly like I thought it would. And of course, Warren gets a free pass for his own indiscretions again. Andy's storyline is a bad telenovela, not even worth getting into. So I won't. Nice to see Meredith Grey again... At the end of the day, the only reason I'm watching this show over GA, is because it has less episodes per seasons. But I still get irritated by most of what I see and hear there too. The double talk is killing me. And from what I know of season 4, it's not about to get better.

Nix the politics. Just be a neutral show about fire
kblev8928 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I liked this show at the beginning but the over politicization and demonization of what is arguably half the viewing audience is annoying. Hollywood is so comfortable in its bubble that it only sees what's in the immediate vicinity. People watch shows to escape the world and the politics. The only ones who will be left to watch this show will be the ones who already agree with you. If you will address pro life people bombing a hospital why not pro choice people attacking crisis pregnancy centers? Let's even the politics or remove them and go back to fighting fire. Also killing off Ripley so soon was a mistake.
