This episode had it all, action, friendship and sadness, and happiness.

Amazing episode, but also maybe selfish?

Warning: Spoilers
I loved the episode, the focus on suicide is very well done and thankfully they were able to talk Buck of the ledge.

However. I can't help but feel like it was very selfish of Hondo, Street and Deacon to tell Buck he should stay alive because of them, because how his death would affect them, even though they don't spend a lot of time with Buck in the series.

Amazing plot, with amazing acting

I was in tears after watching this episode. It really talked to me, and I'm sure it will talk deeply with many more.

Thank you for the amazing acting, with so much feeling and purpose.

Great work for the writing, the cast and everybody else who helped making this episode and this show.

I am a big fan.

This one hit home
We lost a son to suicide several years ago. This episode was poignant, and very well done. I've struggled with that dark demon since then as well. I was impressed they worked in a clear shot of the suicide hotline number. If any of you or anyone you know is thinking about suicide, please call and talk to someone. National Suicide Hotline: 1-800-273-8255

Too close to home

Trying to catch my breath as this hit way too close to home.

I lost my father to suicide. He had cancer. Didn't want to be a burden. My sister found him with his brains blown out.

On the other side - I've been where Buck and Deke have been. Twice.

Sometimes TV gets it right. And as someone else posted - call 800-273-8255 - you are not alone. I don't know your name, where you are, or what is happening. But you are not alone.

Highest Rated Episode of Season for a Reason

Truly impactful tear jerker vulnerable writing here. Implementing real world resources for suicide prevention in this episode was a classy move. Short action sequences took back seat to more heart felt moments. A welcome change for the show. Really adding character depth in this one.

Best episode: great directing and acting
jlechelt7 July 2023
I love SWAT. I don't consider it prestige television, and I don't want it to be. But this episode was superb by any measure. I loved the directing, and all of the cast went to a different place in this episode. Thanks to all involved in making it.

Mental health and suicide are obviously important issues, and it's great that they also tackled a bit the possible bravado of men in these situations, particularly in the testosterone world that can come with intense policy work.

I don't want every SWAT episode to be like this - it's emotionally draining, but this "very special episode" was well done and important.

Fairy tail stories

Warning: Spoilers
I almost like this episode but, c'mon, who actually believe that something like that is even closer in real life. Just another form of pc, woke, you name it. Really annoying that in a swat, police everybody are crying, winning, so sensitive, so many shrinks...totally waste of time.
