I gave this film a rating of 7--simply because if you review a film you cannot elect to leave this out of the review. Well, in this case I wish I could because this isn't a short film in the traditional sense. There really is no narrative--no story. Instead, it's almost like a statement by the creators or a calling card to introduce to others what they can do--which they do very well, but it isn't a "film" per se.
It all begins with some simple yet very effective music. As it plays, you see the lights on a computer generated skyscape begin to light up in sync with the music. It looks very much like the city is coming to life and the more it lights up the more it's obvious that it's some sort of city of the future.
As you can probably tell from my description that it is indeed hard to score something like this. It's nice to watch.
