Brilliant piece of Portuguese fiction

For some time I've been wanting to see this movie because the Poster called my attention, and I was right.

Although I do not understand the low ranking, for a film made mainly in Portugal, I think is pretty good. In moments it seems a romanticized Portuguese Titanic, but the historical side is always predominant.

All the actors are good in their roles, especially Carlos Paulo in the role of Captain Galvão, who leaves us mesmerized by the aroma of democratic freedom to which the film calls. Victor Norte is perfect for the role of rude father and pro Salazar military, and Leonor Seixas ideal as the maverick daughter.

Do not expect an action movie with shots and special effects, this is a film of tension and reflection on the dilemmas that both assailants and captives faced during the assault, and the reflection on the Portugal, which at the time lived years of growing dissatisfaction with the oppressive dictatorial power.

I recommend this movie especially to all who like me, were born outside Salazarism and want to learn more about the milestones that defined the second half of the Portuguese twentieth century .
