This episode marks the first mention of Ffarquhar Quarry also known as Anopha Quarry. I find it interesting as to how Thomas likes policemen as he'd been a good friend of the policeman who just retired. When Thomas sees a new policeman, he whistles good morning but the new policeman not friendly as he complains about not sleeping the previous 🌃. The next thing he does is point at Thomas seeing that he has no cow catchers and sideplates. The policeman then examines Thomas which makes him cross. He then deems Thomas as dangerous after stating the law saying that engines traveling on the Ffarquhar Quarry Line should have their wheels covered with a cow catcher to prevent people and animals from getting hurt if they stray onto the line. Thomas' driver is kind enough to protest but the ignorant policeman simply said it made things worse. He writes "Regular Law Breaker" in his notebook and poor Thomas puffs sadly away. Luckily Sir Topham Hatt has an idea which is to bring Toby the Tram Engine after trying to reason with the policeman. Sir Topham Hatt writes a 📨 to Toby's railway director. We see this letter from the previous episode. Toby arrives a few days later and does the quarry work. Thomas is initially jealous but when Toby frightens the policeman by ringing his 🔔, they become firm friends. I'm glad that Toby came to help, aren't you?
