This event was held on the 10th June 2014.
At the red carpet event, notable appearances were as follows, film critic Mark Kermode, Shenkin Jenkins (The welsh regiment goat) The Zulu Diehards in their subsequent gallant uniforms, Maureen Endfield (Zulu directors wife) Lional Blair (Original 'Zulu stamp' choreographer) Matthew Field (film historian) along with Dave Worrall (Cinema Retro magazine) HRN Prince Harry and Dickie Owen who played Corporal Scheiss in the film.
Programme for the evenings festivities were as follows, Intro from Mark Kermode, 'Blake' Male group (To the sun), piece by Dan Snow (Historian) followed by Zulu Behind the scenes film (Narrated by Sheldon Hall) greetings from Michael Caine and Prince Buthelizi by video message, then the Choir of the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards took the stage to sing 'Men Of Harlech', followed by the National Anthem and finally a digital presentation of the complete film ZULU.
Michael Caine couldn't attend the evenings proceedings, however he did send a message from a pre-filmed video link.
Organised by Suzannah Endfield Olivier, daughter of the director of ZULU, Cy Endfield, the event benefited three partner charities; Sentebale, Walking With The Wounded and The David Rattray Memorial Trust. The three charities had been chosen in recognition of their work in Africa as well as with wounded servicemen and women.
