While this isn't a terrible episode, it's not a great episode either things didn't end well for Percy. A strange fact about this episode is that it's Bill and Ben's first appearance without being named. I'd consider their appearance in this episode as their unofficial introduction. I think Percy is referring to the season 3 episode Percy's Promise when telling the tank engine twins about the time he endured 🌧 to help Thomas. I first thought he was referring to the season 7 episode Percy Gets it Right. Anyway, Henry was rude to insult Bill and Ben by telling them to go away and calling them "silly things". The tank engine twins and Percy are cross with Henry. Henry then calls Percy silly also. Percy says that "water is nothing to an engine with determination" and what he means is that he persevered through the 🌧 without giving up. Percy has clever wits as he teased Henry by singing "Once an engine attached to a train was afraid of a few drops of rain". The next scene is interesting as we then see Thomas looking at a danger sign telling engines not to puff past it. In Thomas' case, danger means falling down something and he tells Percy how he ignored a sign once and fell down a mine and it's a reference to the season 1 episode Down the Mine. Percy didn't know that the tracks led to the sea. Percy had an idea but it was not a wise idea. Percy's idea was asking the Troublesome Trucks to bump him at the danger sign and make it look like it's not his fault by trying to stop them. But sadly, the Troublesome Trucks bumped him into the sea. I must say, it wasn't a wise idea and I'm right. Sir Topham Hatt is also cross with Percy saying that he should take care of himself. Luckily he was rescued and was sent to the repair works but it was Henry who was to take him there and Henry teased Percy about his accident. Overall, this is an average episode for me. I hope Percy comes back soon, don't you?
