- A Fan emerges as a real game player after devising a plan that threatens to sacrifice one of their own.
- After last week's surprise elimination of Ozzy, everyone is unsettled. Amanda is peeved with Parvati and Cirie for making her look like a fool when she voted Jason out, not knowing they'd changed plans.
Day 28
James has a bad cut on his finger and it looks swollen and infected. Cirie seems to be worried about him. The nearby rats, she points out, aren't super for open wounds. Parvati tries to repair things with James and Amanda. But James finds her selfish and duplicitous. She tells him she plans to take all girls to the final three. Cirie tells Amanda they couldn't tell her because she wouldn't have gone along and she doesn't believe Cirie when she says they plan to have her in the final three.
Survivor auction time. They each get $500 but can't share money or items. The first covered item goes to Cirie for $120. She gets a hotdog, french fries and all the fixings. The next covered item goes for $80 to Erik. But Jeff plays Let's Make a Deal and trades him for a bigger covered item. He gave up octopus for a huge tray of nachos. Natalie bids immediately for the next at $240 and ends up with fruit bat soup. She passes. James eats it. Jeff shows a peanut butter jelly sandwich. Amanda gets it for $280. Covered item, Natalie gets it for $240. She gets a bottle with a note. She gets to send someone to Exile Island and will take all their money. Jason begs not to go. Natalie asks if the Immunity Idol is back in play, it is. She sends Jason. Jeff pulls out the next covered item which comes with "another layer." Natalie uses her new loot to get it for $380. It's an enormous chocolate cake. And a note. She gets to pick three teammates to share and scarf in 60 seconds. She picks Parvati, Cirie and Alexis. They chow down. Erik offers $40 to lick Cirie's fingers. She accepts.
Back at camp, they discuss Jason's stay at Exile Island. They all want him gone. They pray for rain so he can't find the Idol.
On the island, Jason reads clues. He thinks this experience finding the fake Idol will help him. Except, you know, for the part where he got played.
He follows the clues quickly and finds it in short order. It does not look like a stick.
"The decision of Natalie to send me to Exile Island was a strategic decision on her part," he says, misjudging her alliance with him. He says he feels the most comfortable he's felt the entire game.
Back at Dabu, they try to figure out how to play it if Jason has the Idol. The women concoct a plan to try to keep him from winning the challenge and not playing his Idol, based on making him feel safe.
Natalie knows that Jason is inclined to believe her because she did him the favor of sending him to Exile.
They are women, hear them scheme.
Day 30
Erik's 22nd birthday. He knows that if Jason wins immunity, he or James is out. The tree mail implies something about repeating a challenge they've done before.
Natalie lays things out: it's either Jason or James going home tonight. But she's not without heart. "As evil as women can be and diabolical and cutthroat and go for the jugular as women are, we just suck blood, we do want Erik to have a good birthday on day 30... so he's not going home today."
Challenge time Jason comes back. They'll be doing a set of challenges to get puzzle pieces leading to planks which they use to cross a platform.
Natalie tells Jason she sent him out there for a reason and to make sure anyone but James wins. Only the first four get to move on from the first part of the challenge: Amanda, James, Jason and Erik. Only two get to go on next. The dig for a key. James and Erik get their keys first and unlock the puzzle pieces. James is in the lead, followed by Erik. They move onto the final, they're crossing a pool on ropes using the planks at platforms. James falls off but quickly regains ground. The girls watch on pins and needles as Erik barely wins. He gets a round of birthday applause.
Parvati, Alexis and Cirie actually giggle over their plan working so far. They stir their fake cauldrons and Parvati calls them "the Black Widow Brigade."
At camp, Jason goes to check the nets and Natalie rifles through his stuff. They find the Idol.
Later she talks to Jason, trying to further solidify his trust. He thanks Natalie for keeping her word at the last council. She lays it on thick. He thinks that because she kept her word before, she will again. (Cue maniacal laughter.)
Natalie enjoys that she's getting to be "ruthless" and "cutthroat" and "a stone cold bitch."
Amanda and James try to figure out what to do. They don't have much of a plan, except that James is sure Jason will play the Idol and he plans to write down Parvati.
Natalie continues in Dr. Evil mode, planning to floss her teeth with Jason's jugular. Down, girl.
Tribal Council
Back with the jury, Ozzy sulks with a vengence. James says it doesn't look that good for old James right now and calls out Parvati for voting out Ozzy - news to him it seems. Jeff asks Jason if his social standing has changed. He says yes, but that it's difficult to know where he stands. Jeff points out Exile could be a sentence or an opportunity. Jeff asks Natalie if it's possible to change standing that fast, she says yes.
Voting time. Jason votes for James. James votes for Parvati. Jeff tallies the rest.
He asks if anyone wants to play the Hidden Idol. Everyone looks at Jason. He does nothing. James nearly swallows his tongue. Votes: James, Jason, James, Parvati, James, Jason, Jason. (He's starting to look a little green.) One vote left: Jason.
Two unplayed immunity idols in a week. Back-to-back blindsides. James grins ear to ear (Jeff tells him to have medical look at his finger).
The women go home victorious.
Jason takes it relatively well. "I was definitely played today by Natalie and the rest of the girls. They did the same thing in voting out Ozzy. I should have been a little more wary of what they were telling me. What they did tonight will definitely come back to haunt them as I'm sitting up there on the jury. I just wish I had been a little bit smarter and played the hidden immunity idol when I had the chance."
