- Edward: Whenever that owl hoots, a mist rolls in. There's a legend that when there mists about, there's a ghost about, too. Take care on the old line, Henry.
- Henry: [owl hoots] Stupid bird!
- Old Bailey: [crossly; after saving Henry and his crew from crashing into a landslide] I tried to warn you about that viaduct. Why didn't you pay attention?
- Henry's Driver: We're sorry, we ignored your warnings. Is there anything we can do to thank you?
- Old Bailey: I'd like to operate that old station again. If you let me I promise I won't spook Henry again.
- Sir Topham Hatt: [to Old Bailey who is now an employed stationmaster for the new station] You and your station will be very useful. Let's a hear a hearty thank you to the friendliest - er - ghost on the island.
- Troublesome Truck: [after an owl hoot and Gordon racing by scare Henry] Oh look! Henry's spooked!
- [the other trucks giggle]
- Henry: [snapping] Be quiet! I'm not scared!
