Screenwriters Miguel Esteban, Joaquín Reyes and Ernesto Sevilla fixed the absence of Bernando killing the character previous to the events of the movie, and that his former love interest Maricarmen Cañizares (Esperanza Pedreño) was all the time carrying a funeral urn with his ashes and his face outside, hearing his thoughts. Bernardo's voice was provided in imitation by the comedian and actor Raúl Pérez. Bernardo absence was used to introduce new character Robles (played by Javier Botet) as new love interest for Cañizares.
