- Bonnie: [reading her journal] I guess the only thing I remember before being taken to that fire station was the dollhouse my mom got me for my 4th birthday. Of course even back then we couldn't afford any furniture for it, so we made furniture out of paper: paper chairs, paper tables, even a paper rug. I never knew it would take this many years to feel as safe as I did back then.
- Marjorie: [quietly] That's beautiful.
- Christy: [loudly] I kissed a girl!
- Bonnie: You couldn't let me have my moment, could you?
- Bonnie: You would think a book about teenage zombie astronauts would just write itself, but it does NOT.
- Jill: [putting new linens on her bed] I wasn't always this prissy, when I was drinking I passed out on all kinds of public restroom floors, but part of being sober is realizing the world's actually very icky.
- Jill: [trying to put a fitted sheet on the bed by holding the edges down with her limbs] This is a lot of hard work.
- Christy: Why are all the ranch hands women? They're supposed to be dudes, this is a dude ranch, where are the dudes?
