A good offering of its particular kind

An old-fashioned haunted house story, written by Emmett Campbell Hall. The photography is good and the acting of John E. Ince and Rosette Brice was sincere and convincing. The plot is one in which the lawyer defrauds the dying widow and confiscates the property which should have gone to the niece. As a result the lawyer is continually haunted by fears. The ghost of the widow is thrown on the screen by means of double exposure photography. This is a good offering of its particular kind and holds the interest throughout. - The Moving Picture World, March 7, 1914
