Strange ending
Joseph_1127 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I really like this show, watched all episodes, and found it very uplifting. So now I wonder what the ending meant, and as with most shows they do not show you, like let's say afterlife, or God. Miles was searching for God, or who is behind the God account, and it lead him to this mountain in Nepal. Then a boy came to him and told him ''Come on Miles, she is waiting for you.'' So it is really open for interpretation, is God a woman? We've had more movies where God was a woman (Example Dogma from Kevin Smith.) This just doesn't feel like the very end, I expected that it will be revealed, it's the same like with most shows I am never satisfied with the ending. I'm giving it 7/10, it is still cool that Cara and Miles fell in love again, Rakesh and his girl, too. Ali was healed.. It's just the ending that really disappointed me with not revealing who is the ''She'' who was waiting for Miles. Someone pointed out it might be his mother, but then it would mean that the mountains in Nepal are Heaven? That's interesting too I guess..

Wrong Holy Bible Quote (?)
katarka00710 June 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Oh, I'm still crying after the end of my favorite series! Why did it have to end? Will I remain forever in ignorance without knowing who was hiding behind God's Account? Maybe it was Pria? Maybe it was someone completely different? It's hard, it's over!

I found a small, maybe significant mistake in quoting The Holy Bible. A quote from Prophet Jeremiah 29:11 sounds different! "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future". In film was Jer 29:13, i.e.: "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart". This is a huge difference! Were the creators wrong? Or was it specially? Who knows? But both quotes match and I love both! :)

Good - But
beachy-3843129 April 2020
This was not the best episode they ever did. I looks like the second half was rewritten to finalize the show. Some good points: Ali lives and becomes a pastor, perhaps an Episcopal priest like her Dad. I would go to her church, but not in New York. I wouldn't want to live there. Miles finally finds God. I'll bet the lost hate that. And God is a she. I'll bet the sexist hate that. Rokesh finally gets engaged to his original girlfriend. I think that was just a feel-good move. If the show had gone on I don't think they ever would have actually married. There was too much working against them.

The Mountain

Warning: Spoilers
I have loved this series so much and looked forward to it every week. It reminded me a lot of "Touched By An Angel" back in the 90's. There are so few shows anymore that give such a good feeling along with showing faith, and this show didn't shove faith at you - It let you take it in at your own pace, which even as a Christian myself, I appreciated. To hear that this show was canceled was devastating as it truly was one of the few shows on anymore that was just a good, sweet show with important lessons for anyone. This series finale was an interesting one and I have a feeling it wasn't exactly what they were wanting as the finale but possibly was rushed to try and finish it by wrapping it all up. I kept thinking that Miles' mother was somehow going to be a part of it, and I wonder if she was? SPOILER: At the very end, I honestly wonder if the "she" that was mentioned was his mother and that the God Account (that I believe was truly God) was going to reward him with seeing her again? Just my theory. Still a great show and I will miss it.

Beautiful finale for a wonderful show
notar0b0t28 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I loved the two-hour series finale. I wish it had gone on longer because it was my favorite new show in 2018 when it started airing. From the first episode I was hooked, and very much invested in this show. To this day it's still one of my all-time favorite. Sure, the end was a bit cryptic, not really answering who was behind the God Account, but that was probably to be expected as it was one of the main mysteries of the show. I have no issue with that, in fact I even liked that it stayed a mystery. I liked that Miles and Cara got back together, I think that was right, and that Jaya and Rakesh got back together as well. Even though, for Jaya and Rakesh, the show did establish he moved on from her when he met Lulu and they got romantically involved. But I guess it's not a big leap to think that after a while, Lulu realized she had her hands full running a country and her and Rakesh decided to break if off, and that Rakesh got back with Jaya. Yeah, in short, great finale, they maintained the suspense, the mystery it had from the pilot and I liked it. Beautiful, well-executed ending. Edit: I must edit to add something I forgot. What a spectacular cast! Everyone was at the top of their game! Especially Joe Morton and Javicia Leslie! Whew!

Booo CBS

I'm very disappointed that this show was canceled.

I always believed Miles would get his faith back and he would find out God was truly in control. I refuse to believe the writers were insinuating that God is a woman!

Feels like a standard GFM episode and not like the series' finale
Abdulxoxo24 January 2021
The last episode of GFM is more Mile's family-oriented. I find this finale to be underwhelming. Since the makers already know this is going to be the last season, they should ended it with a more closure. What was the ending indicating? God lives in the mountains? Lol. It just doesn't make sense. GFM worked best if its focus it's not on who is behind the God account but rather on its characters solving day-to-day mystery. Overall, GFM is a really good feel-good series with lots of positivity going on. The cast performance is good. And the technical aspects are consistent in every episode. It's a shame it got cancelled.

The worst ending ever ?
bobpuls27 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I never liked this small stories about his family and i always skipped them frankly the family it self was only a side line ... so this finale was a really disappointing form me ... i practically skipped all the show. so sad it has to end like this even when all goes well for him ... This is just bad writing ...
