  [Edd and Ed are sitting on a doorstep. They hear Eddy's voice in the distance but they don't realize he's stuck in a tree] 

  Edd : The brain is an amazing organ, Ed. Why, it's actually fooling me into thinking that Eddy's calling out to us.

• [Eddy mimes typing on a typewriter. He then outlines a piece of paper in the air and then points to it. Rolf rummages in his pocket] 

  Edd : What is it, Rolf?

  [Rolf pulls out a piece of paper] 

  Rolf : A-ha! Paper for Eddy?

  [He gives the paper to Eddy, who receives it with an excited look on his face] 

  Edd : Just as I thought.

  [Eddy points to the paper and mimes writing on it] 

  Rolf : Yes, Eddy. Sure. Here.

  [He gives Eddy an ear of corn. Eddy writes on the paper, not noticing that he hasn't been given a pen. He looks at the object in his hand and realizes that it's not what he wanted and angrily throws it to the ground]
