Confronting and annoying an old teacher
OJT23 April 2016
"Persona Non Grata" is a feature film by experienced Swedish director Mats Ahren, made on quite an annoying close up hand held camera, which will make it difficult to be loved.

The film starts off with an annoying young woman which drags an older pensioner, a former teacher, into an conflict, after meeting him on a park bench. The man tries to get away from her, as she makes the situation very uncomfortable. Who is she? How is she related to the man she meets on the bench. She turns up again, and follows him like a shadow.

I find the extreme close up quite annoying, and to make that clear: I'm not usually annoyed by hand held cameras. But the use of head-shots and close ups here are from time to time quite extreme. Still the actors are doing a terrific job.

The film stirs up a certain excitement, but still it's to obvious all the way.
