It's funny to see people getting high eating food
jhavman8 June 2020
I LOVE to see how cannabis is used for cooking and how normal it's treaten. Please discriminilize cannabis in Spain and the rest of Europe, it could be useful for a lot of things.

I like food shows, but the host never stops screaming
neruakito3 April 2022
Ion even know his name but the main dude with the glasses is pretty much yelling each time he speaks, and I don't think his jokes are good or timed well enough to compensate for his volume. I also felt that the contestants could've been given more time as I'd rather watch people do the best they can and not just the best time will allow. But that's how these shows work ig.

Leaves you wanting something more
megansimpson-2639818 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I love the idea of this show. It has some great aspects, knowledge, and dishes. As well as some great comedy and videography. Although, the way they set up the people who are tasting the food just leaves you wanting more. The hosts are the only ones who try the dishes in front of the chefs. The guests eat at a separate table in a separate area where they have no interaction whatsoever with the chefs. I would have liked to see some more interaction when it came to the guests with everybody else involved. Also really would have loved to see it set up more similar to top chef, where they start off with a large amount of chefs, then vote one off every week.

Best cannabis cooking show by far.
ryanb-9117425 April 2020
Great show. Knowledgeable contestants, entertaining judges. Kelis and Leather have great chemistry. Super easy to binge watch in one sitting. Finally a cooking show that represents the cannabis industry well!

Feels... forced
beefajardo17 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Watching the first episode I thought that all the dishes looked awesome and I was rooting for them and everything. But then I felt that the judges weren't that great for banter. The woman's commentary just didn't sit right with me because it felt condescending... and the guy was just there imo, he doesn't stand out for me at all. The celebrity guests are kind of weird as in the producers clearly choose whoever is next on their randomized list of celebrities because I didn't see chemistry with any of them... I was excited to watch this series because I saw Jo Koy and Alaska as judges but Jo Koy was barely even there and it felt awkward just letting him sit there not saying anything when he's usually hilarious. It just wasn't fun seeing the celebrity guests force chemistry in front of the cameras. The only reason why I kept watching was seeing the different strains and how they actually put it in the food.

Best cannabis cooking show I've seen
samantha-elizzzz10 May 2020
I absolutely love how each episode is a little different in how they do things. Such as where the judges eat the courses. And trying the food while they're cooking one time. I love that the guests have gotten up to go snoop around in the weed. I love that the dishes are well thought out in dosage and how each person is different. I love the themes of each episode. And I love how laid back and comfortable everything seems. Please keep THAT up. Hoping for many more seasons.

Why are Netflix shows so rushed lately?
jhenson-7870724 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This show has so much potential but it's genuinely terrible right now. The first episode was actually intriguing, but it literally fell off the cliff after Ep1.

  • The hosts are subpar. The man's voice is creepy. The sound engineering is terrible, and the staged "reads" are jarring. It's way too obvious when the hosts aren't speaking on the spot and production has inserted a booth script read.

  • Get better chefs. Some of these people are so bad it's hard to watch.

  • Get better "judges". People with more relevance, and who seem more invested. Too Short was on his phone the entire time, not talking. And one girl left before the episode was even over. Why would the producers allow that?

  • Integrate the "hangout" table and the hosts. Why are they separate? What's the point in the celebs being there? Use them more efficiently.

  • AND THE WORST PART: In the last episode, the judges ate the food without the chefs seeing them do so and hearing their critique..................this is a competition, and these chefs need to know what you're looking for. Why would you strip that helpful critique away from them? Now they don't know what they could improve upon and they don't know where they stand in a competition where they're vying for 10 grand. I mean, come....on.

So the real question......for a show with so much potential, why did Netflix throw it together like a group of friends who have nothing better to do?

This has to be the DUMBEST SHOW EVER *must read*
thorneruff27 April 2020
If you know anything about cooking with cannabis or cooking, you will get 3 episodes into this series and wonder what is going on. This has to be one of THEE most scripted, biased, and misuse of cooking with the cannabis industry being attached to it. I would be embarrassed to be on here, and judged by people who have a palettes of caveman. THE BIGGEST JOKE I'VE EVER SEEN. In one episode, a cook used a THC infused rub for lamb then put it on the grill..... with a flame.... and had the nerve to say "this infusion has 2mg of THC" what a worthless waste of time. I'd rather watch celebrity smackdown this watch another second of this series. Would give 0 stars, but not an option

I love cannabis and cooking but
ryanad-0826629 January 2021
This show just missed the mark for me. If you're truly a cannabis lover you'll notice right away that these dishes are micro doses with less thc than your average joint would have, so the fact that all these judges act silly and high is just that: an act. Feels very forced and lacks professionalism. For a cooking competition, you should have cooking experts judging, and actual chefs competing. Back to the drawing board, netflix.

Immature, but the world is getting there....
elleoelle22 November 2020
So far, I dislike Leather's obnoxiousness (is he trying to imitate Joe Rogan?!?) and seeming lack of maturity.

Kelis, on the other hand, is sweet, mature, and can have fun without having to be like a teenager trying to impress by cursing up a storm.

The guest judges bring out a Beavis & Butthead, nose-picking atmosphere, further bringing down the maturity of the show. Many of them are so ignorant, bringing down the food because their palates are so immature, inexperienced, childish, and shallow- sad.

Some of these competitors are true chefs and deserve, as well as cannabis cuisine, to be recognized as legitimate and something beyond just getting high.

Really an Aphrodisiac.. (?) !
katelawrence-3991021 November 2022
I really appreciate the many aspects of this show one being like an Orchestra Conductor playing on the different measurements of the Cannabi and the CBD within each dish, resulting in a beautiful Symphony of Their Own Creation..the Chief's Imagination.

I am Not a Cook! Yes, I am high. Yet, I would like to take this moment and offer my presence to You and Your Show.

I would like to be one of your "best buds" .. I am single I am celibate I am a civilian and I am good with All that. I am happy being me and who I am. That being said, as well as knowing there are many different aspects and many more we do not know nor understand in connection with this beautiful plant, from healing to even an aphrodisiac measure ... if, If you were to ever happen to record a show based on that although being modest I would be honored if you chose me I do live in the oldest operating town in the state of Colorado less than a thousand people and we have to shops.

Absolutely horrible if you actually consume THC
tezekiel-1813510 July 2022
I don't understand how this show is appealing at all they put a maximum of 5 MG of THC in thier dishes and the judges half of which don't use cannabis act like thier high. When they put more than 2 MG of THC in thier dishes they act as if it's a risqué choice. Am I the only one that needs 50+ MG of THC to even feel it???? They advertise the show like a fun cooking show where people get high but they just don't. It's unbelievably cringe and pissed me off while watching it.

Great show
ashesx-5222810 January 2021
I love this show and I really wish that season 2 was already out. It's neat to see how cannabis can be incorporated into cooking, but it's also funny to watch the guests eat it.

Utterly TERRIBLE
pixiii-413741 February 2023
I created this account to submit this review.

This show sucks. It's over played, entirely scripted and the fact they're even remotely try to portray enthusiasts is disgusting. I barely made it passed the first episode and had to force myself to watch the other half. The way they portray marijuana enthusiasts is WRONG and utterly deplorable. They come across like dense, idiotic people pretending to be high merely for the views and attention. Trying to tell people you 'can't get high off cbd' goes to show how uneducated these people are when those of us have spent money on our training and livelihood. The only good thing to come out of this show is was the recipes. Quite frankly, they all look like a bunch of idiots that have no idea what they're doing and I hope the show gets canceled. You give the rest of us a bad name. Stop pretending. You aren't funny. You aren't high. You're a bunch of try hards looking for views. Dummy the hell up, you're how old.

Warning: Spoilers
This show is absolutely staged. Anyone who uses cannabis to cook or even use cannabis at all would know within the first 10 mins of the show that this is fake. Misguided information. And absolutely over exaggerates the "high" off little Micro-doses (1-3mg) of THC? Come on... This would have been 1000x better if they had actually been cooking with Cannabis. The acting was horrible. Fake emotion. Fake high. The only reason I gave it a 1/10 is because I had to really and they had some alright ideas for the dishes. And they used the cannabis pretty autistically I mean artistically. Haha thanks for reading.

Really mis-represents cannabis
spambag19 July 2023
As far as a cooking show goes, this one is fast moving and fun to see the recipes they come up with. However, the part that cannabis plays is completely silly and ridiculous. To start with, they only use micro-doses of THC - usually less than 8mg, often as little as 2 or 3mg in a dish shared by all six judges. Not enough for even someone who has never tried THC to feel. Even funnier - the judges start acting stoned within minutes of having their first micro-dose. Anyone who has actually consumed THC in this manner knows that it takes at least 2 full hours before any effect is felt, plus you would need at the very least 5 times more THC as they use. Because of the very tiny doses, it's unlikely any of them actually felt anything at all. But the judges sure act "stoned". Imagine a show where they put a thimble full of beer into a recipe and then six people share it and act quite drunk. And we all know how fake most people look when pretending to be drunk. This show is the cannabis version of that. It would seem the cannabis part is just a marketing ploy intended to 'titillate' those who know nothing about it.

For those who have never tried cannabis - it is NOT anywhere close to as powerful and quick acting as they pretend it to be in this show. It's actually very much milder than alcohol.

I watched the first episode and imagine watching a bunch of individuals who were told they were allowed to use swearwords and have never used them a day in their life so now they're learning.
