A beautifully sad performance from Penny Cook as a mother trying desperately to hold her family together even as she's the one pushing them apart. Her confession to Susan is wrenching and the problem is she is genuinely trying.Which makes Frazer's decision, logical as it may be, seem all the more heart-breaking.
It's not all doom and gloom as the continued Elle/Oliver flirtation provides some amusement, along with Steve's reaction to Miranda and Marco's flirting, only to look as though he feels the same way.The teens have a woefully mistimed plan to acquire some alcohol with Zeke's ridiculously macho act just as Taylah is describing him as genuine.Declan's choice of Elle as a partner in crime(albeit as a last resort)is a masterstroke and demonstrates that the best way to keep things fresh is to pair characters who tend to have little to do with each other. And Taylah's meeting with Chris just screams "back story".
