This film consists of giant robots attacking and wiping out all the people. While the robots were less than thrilling (the budget was reportedly $38.28), the film makers made the most of them. I loved how the machines blasted out messages like "we are here to protect you" and encouraging the populace to relax...at it slaughtered them with abandon. Also, the film makers were smart to take what budget they did have and spend it on making fake blood---and they must have used gallons. This can make a cheap film look better and made up for some of the cheesy robot effects (such as the red screen images). Overall, it's very clever minimalist film making.
Despite these kudos, I agree with the other reviewer who questioned people giving this little film a 10. Sure, given the very, very limited budget and experience of everyone concerned with the film it is a good short. However, there are obvious problems with it as well---mostly budgetary, but not completely due to this. But, considering the experience (or lack thereof) of the film makers, they should be quite proud and I look forward to the sequel ATTACKAZOIDS, DEPLOY!!
