The entire budget was funded by the director's stimulus check plus the volunteer services of the small cast and crew.

During the cliff climbing scene, Mills originally intended to climb up and reverse the footage so that it looked like Wild Wes was climbing down. However, the dirt falling did not look real when put in reverse.
