Mohan comes to Chennai on a new job. his past , his family , his parents etc are not shown . He starts living next door to Rekha who is his boss in his office . She is also a fine Veena player . she lives with her brother and sister and is stern and strict in her nature . Each time he tries to go close to her , she refutes . he finally finds out her history. she was in love with Nizhalgal Ravi who adores her music . In some freak accident , she loses her hand and is not able to play the instrument again . so he leaves her . Later she gets back her limbs but the trauma remains with her so she refuses to give in to Mohan's demands . Slowly she starts liking him when he keeps pursing her . One day she realises that Ravi is very much in the same city and has lost his legs in an accident. The doctor suggest she plays the Veena again to better him. Upon hearing her emotional music , he becomes fine again and Rekha is in trauma again about Mohan and Ravi . all three are good actors . The best thing about Mohan has been his soft voice . Rekha wears nice sarees to show off her slim frame . Mohan is likeable as a prankster and a serious lover. Ravi is dependable in every role , every scene. The movie has some nice hummable songs . The comedy track by Sarala , Charlie and Chinni Jayanth is long drawn and boring .
