As an Independent filmmaker myself, it is difficult to get a film made. From the inception of the idea to seeing it through until the very bitter end; it can be a hard and painful process...but a very rewarding one too. I respect the fact that the producers and director went the distance and made a film about something interesting and saw it through to the very end. I really like the visions the lead character has in this film, which reminds me of the film, "The Shining." Mile 19 also has some pretty good acting from some of the actors. Overall, I dug the concept and have respect from one filmmaker to another.

I don't know who gave the high ratings, most likely the actors and directors, but the acting is so horrendous I couldn't get past 10 minutes. Are they reading from storyboards? Also, the script is so... well, scripted. Nobody talks like this. I feel ripped off that I paid $3.99 to watch it. The fact that IMDB didn't display any ratings from viewers (only the 8.5 composite) and no external reviews leads me to believe that this is one of the worst films ever made. I'm going to check back periodically to see if any reviews appear at a later date. For now, if you're able to access my comments, save yourself $3.99, I'm a fair reviewer, done 200+ fair and impartial IMDB reviews.

I really tried to watch it, but the acting is the absolute worst. Every single actor was horrible. High school kids would have done a better job. The scripting made it worse. A lot of those words and sentences were stilted. People don't talk that way.

It's as if this movie was intended to be a caricature of a thriller.

I wanted to stop after five minutes, but I forced myself to watch the whole thing, hoping to find something positive. Unfortunately, there was none. The first unexpected thing in this "thriller" occurs at 57 minutes in an 1 hr and 10 minute movie. The only interesting thing was in the last two or three sentences of the movie. It was definitely not worth the torture of watching to get there.

I've almost always found something positive in the bad movies I've seen, but this one had absolutely nothing.

Don't waste your time on this one. I'm not a film critic, but I've watched a ton of movies in 69 years.
