Coming to terms with truth and self image cleaning a friendship up!
blanbrn30 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This episode six from season four of "HBO's" "Room 104" called "The Hikers" was one that was interesting as it was a revealing drama between two female friends who come to terms with things after they see who and how they really are. Megan(Shannon Purser) and Casey(Kendra Carelli) are two college grads who have been friends since grade school and it's while on a break with some downtime in room 104 that the two have a talk and the hard truth comes out with emotions during a discussion. Once Megan has a foot aliment after discovering a rock in her shoe which Casey had something to do with after it's found she has a whole bag things change. As the themes of jealousy and self image come into play as is Megan really happy being overweight, unfit, and not attractive? And can Casey comes to terms with her real cruel self. A clean up and crystal bath might wash away the sins and bad spirits! Overall mystical type episode that proves truths showing that it's okay to come to terms with yourself and come clean about how one sees another.

104 Rock

Warning: Spoilers
The Hikers had potential and like some episodes of Room 104, it starts incredibly well, building up the tension, making the audience wonder what's going on, but then the ending doesn't quite match up, like the sum of the parts is not enough for the whole anyway. Kendra Carelli plays Casey, and Shannon Purser plays Megan and things get brutal when their friendship is on the rocks, well it gets stripped (literally and figuratively) because of a rock (literally).

The ending made me wonder what happened with the friendship and I really hope Casey and Megan remained friends and even became each other's bridesmaids.
