Exploiting the misdeeds of a monster
dbborroughs31 July 2009
Warning: Spoilers
Unremarkable biography of serial killer Ted Bundy. More lurid than anything this film probably would never gotten anywhere had it not had Bundy's name attached to it. Its yet another in a long line of recent films based upon real life killers made purely to mine the small niche market of the audience who likes films about serial killers. As those sort of films go its not bad, but at the same time its not the sort of film that I can even suggest to anyone outside of the target audience. If you're a fan of serial killer films or serial killer pseudo-biographies then you'll probably like this to some small degree. All others are directed elsewhere.

A movie with potential
allym4574 May 2014
Warning: Spoilers
I had just finished watching Dahmer and this movie came up as a suggestion on Netflix. I'll start off by saying the movie had potential but it seemed to fall victim to poor pacing, shoddy editing and stiff dialogue. The movie had these really annoying and long music montages that just slowed the film down. The screen of Bundy and his girlfriend Stephanie in the hallway was too unbelievable he looked too old to be a college freshman and the dialogue was just terrible. The dinner scene with Stephanie was about a minute too long as well as the scene of him driving drunk.

The lead actor who played Bundy was OK, he wasn't given much to work with, he showed some sparks of a good performance. The other actors did alright. I had to google Ted Bundy to understand what was going on at certain points because I was just lost. When Ted finds his birth record I was confused, when he gets arrested, and then again at the very end. The transitions didn't help either it was a title card with the date no idea what was going on or where the movie was set.

The ending rushed probably because the first act ran so long. The audience didn't see what happened to Bundy after his conviction to change his whole demeanor, which again made it confusing and I had to google it. I would rather seen more of that then scenes with Stephanie walking in a park.

The worst of the 3 Ted Bundy movies I have seen.
ProgShred8 December 2011
When I saw this movie, the other day, on cable, it played with the title, "Bundy: A Legacy Of Evil," which is a much better title than the original one. As far as the film goes, I don't know what to complain about first. I guess the poor acting is a good start. The actor who played Bundy in this movie was not very convincing. Neither was anyone else for that matter. What was worse was the story line, or lack of it. At times, they would go from any particular scene and cut to a random shot where he is killing a woman while some crappy Alternative Rock music loudly plays. Now I know that Alternative Rock gets its roots from 60s and 70s rock, but it doesn't quite sound the same. I didn't know if they had momentarily slipped into the 90s or what? The music was so annoying I started to hit the mute button whenever it would come on.

They also got several facts wrong, but what movie doesn't do that anyway? I wouldn't have minded that so much if they had just pieced the story together somehow. By cutting to random killings and scenes in different cities or situations with no explanation or setup, I would not have had any idea what was going on without knowing what I already knew before seeing the movie.

A total waste of time
alvaro_chan20 September 2009
Please, if you haven't see it, don't. It will not fit any expectation you might have. If you are a film student, this is a guide for everything you should not do in film making.

Starting with the long unnecessary takes and the bad acting followed by a very bad illumination and a terrible soundtrack. This is such a wasted subject, I mean we are talking about Ted Bundy here, this is some serious stuff. If you want to know about Bundy go check the interviews and info online.

Filmwise, is not told in a interesting way and the soap opera look doesn't fit right. After watching the movie, I had one idea of the source for his urge for killing. and after I did some research it seams to me that the movie did not portrayed it correctly.

Is incredible how all the bad stuff eats on the good work of others in the same project.

I guess times are tough for Corin Nemec!
Sylviastel16 July 2016
Corin Nemec is a talented actor and best remembered for his performance on the Fox series, "Parker Lewis Can't Lose," and playing Steven Stayner in "I Know My First Name is Steven." In this low budget thriller, he plays Ted Bundy. He has already played Richard Speck and the Boston strangler. Ted Bundy was a complex man and one of the most notorious serial killers of all time. The scene where he opens a file and closes it without mentioning what was in it about his birth father. As somebody who read Ann Rule's book, his paternity has never been explained. Ted was attractive, charming and intelligent but he couldn't overcome his inner demons. Unlike the Green River Killer, his victims were not the usual prostitutes. Bundy killed women after tricking them into his car. We never really know what he with his victims besides killing them. Nemec's performance is the only salvageable part of this forgettable film. You should watch Mark Harmon in the role.

Really bad portrayal
lovemyhayabusa28 July 2009
I read the book by Ann Rule The Stranger Beside Me and this movie was a complete failure at portraying Ted Bundy. The judge who sentenced Bundy to death in the case of Lisa Levy and Margaret Bowman was NOT Foggerty it was Edward Cowart. He was not picked up and his car was NOT searched in the middle of the desert, his car was searched by 3 policemen not one. And the Warden was NOT the one who recorded the confessions it was Bob Keppel. He killed 2 girls at the Chi Omega house with a WOOD CLUB not a baseball bat that was in the girls' room, and he seriously injured 2 more girls in the same sorority house, then he killed another woman down the road from them. The movie left out SOOOO many important details. Like where was Ann Rule at the Crisis Center, and what about Carol Ann Boone?, the woman he had a daughter with? It is a TERRIBLE, AWFUL, movie don't bother to rent it or buy it, Read Ann Rule's book along with Bob Keppel's for the real story of Ted Bundy!

Want a clue? Don't Bother wasting Your Time!
voodooempress31 May 2009
This has got to be the most awful film I have watched in a long time. In fact, I will as go as far as to say that it's worse than my all time movie low (which near enough caused me to have a mental breakdown and was only saved by disappearing out of the cinema to do some retail therapy) Scooby Doo the movie.

This is a waste of time, the acting is poor and I mean POOR - low budget doesn't have to mean this BAD. I am a little tired of these so called biography films where the writer and director get off on scenes of violence (in between scenes of pure mind numbing tedious acting).

SO - if you get your kicks from listening to piercing screams, with not one great attempt at acting in site, this is the film for you! If they had to tell this lunatics story, then they could have done it so much better than this. I shudder to think who would call it a great film - but then the word 'cult' will no doubt be used instead of the word 'crap'. But hey, you never know how drunk you need to be to get through to the end.

Been Done Before and Far Better
collioure_bee4 June 2009
Warning: Spoilers
You would think with a wealth of stuff that the Bundy story gives you, that you could come up with a decent film on the subject with a different angle. The angle this one comes up with is a lack of character building, acting and coherent storyline.

From the first scene of a very unconvincing murder the alarm bells should have been ringing stop watching now. Then we are treated to a "young" Bundy who is the oldest High School boy in history and the conversation with his young girlfriend is laughable, especially when she says she wants her secret to be out, the secret being she is seeing a younger man. Younger man? It was embarrassing, it looked like she was dating her teacher or worse still, her dad, and the acting like a coy High Schoolboy was cringeworthy.

There is a scene in a Seattle Call Centre which should have come with a free sick bucket for the lines that followed two minutes of Bundy on the phone to a suicidal depressive, telling him to "get in your car and go for a drive, wherever you want to go...." They tried to paint him as some all American hero.

To be honest, after forty minutes you are hoping the police get a tip off and change history to catch him early, followed by a quick confession and jail sentence so we can all pack up and go home. Obviously this doesn't happen so you hope for some more quick clips and a decent court case. You get neither, just a hotch potch of Bundy standing up his first girlfriend after proposing to her, revenge for how she dropped him and then a drawn out murder scene in a school dormitory.

The judge uses the actual words that sentenced Bundy to death, but we didn't get the chance to see any of this great lawyer in action, just a few minutes of him glorying in his "work" as he makes the detective describe in detail the scene he met at the dormitory Bundy had killed and attacked a number of young girls in.

The only time tension starts to build is at the end towards the death scene, but as the tension starts, it's over before it's got going and leaves you feeling short changed. I'm not saying a long drawn out execution is the order of the day, but some build up would be nice.

There was also no explanation of the truth at the end, no write up about what happened during Bundy's time. I realise that the story is well known but there is a new generation that isn't aware of him or his history. Unfortunately they will not learn anything from this film.

If you want to see a better attempt at the Bundy legacy, try the made for TV two part NBC film Deliberate Stranger.

Might be a legacy of evil, but it was wrapped in boredom...
paul_haakonsen9 January 2016
I happened to find this movie by random coincidence at the local secondhand DVD store for about $2. I do enjoy horror movies, and a movie based on the actual serial killer couldn't be all bad. But I was a bit hesitant about it when I saw who had the lead part.

Without going into much details about the story, then it can be easily summarized as a movie about notorious serial killer Ted Bundy.

Story-wise then "Bundy: A Legacy of Evil" was unfathomably boring and rather uneventful actually. You don't care for any of the characters in the movie, be it victims or killer. Why? Well, because everything was so superficial and shallow that you can't emerge yourself into anything. And the actual killing scenes were just unimpressive.

One thing that did work for the movie, and which was much of a surprise for me. This was perhaps one of the best performances by Corin Nemec. It was just a shame that he was held back by a flaccid storyline and script. Also, Kane Hodder is in the movie, which was a bonus for any horror fan, but it was nowhere near enough to salvage this movie, not by a long shot.

"Bundy: A Legacy of Evil" is really not worth wasting your time or money on. If you like movies about real serial killers, then there are some better choices available.

a solid telling of a horrible story, well acted, and made
daworldismine30 July 2012
Warning: Spoilers
this movie based on ted bundy, is not the first and certainly wont be the last, but this movie is above average and delves into things the other movies didn't, including his political career, and his early relationships. corin nemac is brilliant as ted bundy, and is chilling to watch, and while the movie is at times violent and bloody, its never exploitive like some other serial killer biopics, and is only showing what really happened, some of the murders are quite hard to watch, but it remains a good movie, with some strong performance's and cameo from kane hodder. it's not as good a movie as 'ted bundy' was, and i haven't seen 'the deliberate stranger' to compare, but knowing this story, this movie does a decent job of telling a horrible story, its not going to be for everyone, and it is very nasty at times, but as a movie about one of the most notorious serial killers of alltime, bundy: a legacy of evil does the job, i recommend to the horror and true crime crowd

Very Interesting Movie
boyhire2131 May 2009
Warning: Spoilers
I find this movie to be very well written. The movie is very close to the truth. Most of the facts are stated in the movie. The actors and actresses are very good. It's true that he was a very horrific and disturbed person. When u see this film u start to get a close look into what made him finally snap. He also Wasn't the typical serial killer. He didn't touchier animals or have thought's of violence until after his first murder. I mean he had problem with sex and the violence of rape. But i found myself somewhat sad for him on his last day of death row. I saw that indeed he was a mad man he was also a broken person with a lot of issues.

Not even close...
keene05123 April 2015
This movie is awful. It's as if someone scanned through the Ted Bundy wiki page and then wrote a screenplay from what they could remember. I can count on my hand the moments in the film that were accurate (not including character names) - and most of them were very small aspects.

Besides the obvious COMPLETE butchery of all the facts, the movie was poorly paced. The acting was often very cheesy. The lead actor might have done a decent job with a good script and director. However, he seemed to have a pallet of creepy facial expressions he'd rotate through. Furthermore, he limped for the whole movie. I realize that some of the only footage available of Ted Bundy walking shows him limping, but it was because he had shackles around his ankles.

This movie was made out of an obsession with serial killers, which is probably why the focus was so helplessly off of the REAL Ted Bundy case - and who he actually was as a person. The part where he howls like a werewolf? Please. They even missed the boat on the method he used to kill. So many things missed - and for no apparent reason. Anyone who has read any account of his killing spree, or trials, would be able to write a better screenplay.

Also: This movie literally took me a month to finish. I'd stop about every three times something was so bad that I couldn't continue anymore. And it took me a month to get through the entire thing.

A note to Michael Feifer - movie maker?
moviebluffer1 September 2009
Warning: Spoilers
I do hope that the writer, producer, director of this movie reads viewer comments, but I doubt it, despite his continual references made to 'internet movie bloggers'. I have to say that this movie would be by far the least researched movie in the history of movie making. Made worse by Mr. Feifers narration on his DVD. I do realise Independent movie making is different to network backed movies in their budget constraints, but surely even the smallest budget would allow for it's writer to research facts before spouting off non-truths in his commentary. He stumbles through telling the audience to "Look after your children" because Ted Bundy was an abused child which in turn caused his 'craziness'. #1. He was far from crazy. He was cold, calculated, calm and the epitome of an evil sociopath and psychopath. # 2. If you took the time to research your subject, you would know that he was not an abused child, sexually or otherwise. In an interview by Dr. James Dobson the day before his execution, Ted said in great detail how he had a very normal, stable and nurtured childhood where there was no abuse of any kind. He went to great lengths in this interview to make sure no one in the future could ever blame his upbringing and make it a reason for his evil doings. Oddly enough, this is exactly what your movie has set out to do. Your movie shows him as a cowering abused child with a drunken father in a tense family situation without any other siblings in sight, despite him having 5. Bundy also remarked on how his parents were church-going non-drinkers who were wonderful to him and his siblings. His step father being his sister's/real mothers husband was not abusive at all, and was a non-drinker. Not only was the movie flawed with non-truths, poorly researched material, the annoying terrible music throughout did nothing to detract from the really badly acted script, in turn adding to how appalling it is. Really awful independent film which does little to inspire the other imaginative independent film makers into taking the risk to get their movies out there. I have no idea how this even got to tape, let alone fill the shelves of my local video shop. Don't waste your money or your time.

Worst Ever
cmendozaprice18 October 2010
I think the title here is appropriate in that I do believe that this film may be the worst film that I have ever seen. I am in complete accordance with member "lovemyhayabusa" and I too read Ann Rule's "The Stranger Beside Me". This film is a gross misrepresentation of Ted Bundy on a personal level. In addition the film is seriously disturbing and this is not balanced by the interesting features of the case. I mean come on the World has been fascinated by the case of Ted Bundy since the 1970s! How can you make a movie about such a fascinating subject so pointless and uninteresting? Also, I take particular offense at how careless the film makers were with regard to the actual facts of the case and in the misrepresentation of Ted himself. I live in LA and I recognized many of the locations in which this film was shot. At no time did Ted Bundy live or kill in Los Angeles and many of the killing scenes are filmed in desert and he mostly killed in Washington State and Florida. I know that it was low budget (obviously) but there could've been some effort made to make the locations look reminiscent of the actual places the murders occurred. Its ridiculous and almost funny how inaccurate this film is. This is my advice for the film makers and those involved: If you're not going to make a film well (or at least descent for Christ's sake) don't make it at all. In addition the acting is very clumsy and the lead seriously botched his job. This was horrible and quite possibly the worst ever. Frankly, I don't understand how it was rated as high as it is (3.8) it should be at most a 2, I think. But that's just me.

I just WASTED 2 Hours of my life!!!!
rennie_eyre15 May 2010
Warning: Spoilers
The Most PATHETIC excuse for a movie I have ever seen! This movie does not even deserve to have the score of AWFUL!!!! It was worse than awful. Most of the details in this movie are completely wrong or completely skewed. The only people that will enjoy watching this movie are people who get off on watching other people being severely beaten to death...which in my opinion means they might be someone that you would need to watch out for.

The scenes where he is beating the girls in the sorority house is a little more than extreme. First off...if he had beaten them as severely as he did he would have never made it out of there. The whole movie made him out to be some dumb, raving, messy, lunatic. Don't get me wrong...there is nothing normal about his behavior but anyone who acted the way they show in this movie would have been caught in an instance. They leave out how charming he was and especially how incredibly smart he was. Ted Bundy was literally a genius and he was seriously the most likable person ever...that is why it took so incredibly long for him to get caught and for people who really knew him well to realize that he was doing all the terrible things he did. The director left out some of the most important people in the story and especially twisted the story of his family and especially of Stephanie. From the beginning of their relationship...sorry to say...but no girl would have been interested in the Bundy that was portrayed. He was downright chilling from the beginning and she never would have dated him.

The director of this movie seriously needs to do research about Ted Bundy. If this was his idea of telling a story artistically then he failed miserably. The story of Ted Bundy would make a great movie that I would buy if someone would tell it accurately and not add things and not leave them out. It would show you that even the people that seem the most normal and even the most heroic people that could be good can have another side to them and that should be the warning to anyone...get to know people well and trust your instincts and not your head. Girls especially can learn from that...many of the women that were in Bundy's life did not listen to their instincts...for instance Carol Anne Boone...it took a long time for her to get with the picture. All in all...this was a terrible movie with possibly the worst, out of place, music I have ever heard in a movie. The storyline does not exist and the bits and pieces that are portrayed are mostly false or twisted to make people believe things about him that are not true.

Michael Feifer...if you ever read this...it is a good idea to do research and check your facts before you attempt to make a movie as a biography of someone...especially someone as terrifying as Ted Bundy. He was a smart and very normal and likable person and that is what is the most scary part about him...it could have been anyone. Let's not try to teach people lie's about history. Teach the truth so that people can be educated about it.

Whoever posted good reviews about this movie must have been asleep while watching it. It is one solid WASTE OF TIME!!!

Piece of rotten crap.
michaelRokeefe8 August 2009
Warning: Spoilers
The name Ted Bundy does cause some interest; but I refuse to recognize him as an American icon. There have been better accounts on film dealing with this demented serial killer's exploits. Yes, he had a reign of terror from coast to coast in the 1970s; leaving over thirty dead as he preyed on young women trying to blame his deeds on an unhappy childhood and his hatred toward women in general. Corin Nemec playing Bundy is really a bad choice for the part. Sure Bundy was arrogant, but this guy is just plain sickening. There is a horrendous soundtrack trying to simulate music from the era; there is no doubt in my mind this stuff was not on American radios or jukeboxes. Most of the dastardly deeds are left to the viewer's imagination, with the only gruesome material maybe being the aftermath of an electrified Bundy smoldering in the chair. It is doubtful you could get a quarter for this DVD in a yard sale.

Are You Kidding?
tessieroo-764-68268613 June 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Howling at the sky? Screaming at God? Shy & dorky? Nope, Bundy was charismatic, and easy to converse with. (ask any of the detectives who worked his cases) This was the worst portrayal I've ever seen or read! Did this director even do any research at all? What a joke! I'm still trying to understand WHO this movie was about since it certainly wasn't Ted Bundy! And where did he get the idea that Bundy was abused as a child? Nope, never happened. He repeatedly said that his childhood was "middle class & very normal" which was one of the fascinating things about him. This WASN'T a poor abused prisoner like so many claim. His parents were wonderful to him (according to his own words) The scene showing his parents or parent drunk, fighting, screaming while he hides in his room is complete garbage! This was poorly researched and horrible. Don't waste your time on this one - see the 2002 version.

Stinkeroo.
rmax3048238 February 2011
Anything I have to say about this abomination has to be judged in the context of my not having been able to sit through more than 28 minutes of it.

Here's the opening scene -- just in case a viewer might be uncertain about switching the channel. Bundy has one of his helpless victims screaming and tied up out in the boondocks at night. He wraps a cable about her neck while she whines and sobs. Bundy tells her what he's going to do to her -- kill her, then cut her head off and burn it in the camp fire until the eyeballs pop out. He orders her to look up at the stars while he strangles her almost into unconsciousness, then allows her to breathe again. Then he flings her aside, still muttering nonsense, and lifts up a spade and bashes her head in. Fade to Ted Bundy in his jail cell telling his own story, beginning when he was a deprived little boy. That's just the first few minutes.

I don't know where to begin. (The writers of this execrable offal would probably advise me: "Begin at the beginning." That's about the extent of their imagination.) Nemec has the character all wrong. It isn't as if this were a story about Jack the Ripper, a character on whom any pattern of traits could be imposed. The problem is that people now alive REMEMBER Ted Bundy. And Ted Bundy was not a soulful imitation of James Dean. Bundy was a handsome glib psychopath, a con man with a murderous streak. He would quote Shakespeare to a girl in a college hallway only if he'd memorized the passage five minutes before because he thought it might be useful in seducing her or might otherwise play to his advantage. Nemec plays him as a romantic, which is exactly bass ackwards.

But then so many things are just plain wrong. The viewer will be surprised to learn that Washington state, where Bundy began his career, has tall royal palms, just like Beverley Hills.

The worst thing is the emphasis on torture. It's becoming a genre unto itself. It's a reflection of our darkest impulses that we allow ourselves to watch a movie like this rude lump of foul deformity, which does to our national character what Bundy did to his victims.

What is it that drives some of us to excitement while watching a helpless victim tortured and slaughtered? It can't be completely alien to us because the US used to have well-attended public executions, and before that there were exhibitions like gladiator battles and bear baiting. Can that impulse, whatever part of the reptilian brain generates it, be very far from our common habit of buying tabloids in the supermarket checkout counters, the ones that feature color photos of celebrities now grown old and fat? This difference between Bundy's ecstasy and the adrenalin rush we get from watching this movie, isn't it a matter of degree, after all?

Bloody Awful!
j-lacerra30 March 2011
Warning: Spoilers
This movie, Bundy: An American Icon, is perhaps the worst production I have ever had the misfortune to watch all the way through. I was actually fascinated with just how bad a movie could be. I am told that many details were wrong or omitted from the story, so my quest to learn about Bundy goes unfulfilled. Corin Nemec is without a doubt the worst actor I have ever seen. The script was silly, non-intensive, disjointed, and slow. I never for a moment believed that this was the charming and intelligent man I had heard about.

Poorly shot and dark, it also has some truly odd musical choices, which are in some cases almost funny. The director also tortures us with scenes of no value to the plot, such as really long shots of Bundy driving drunk, Bundy staggering about, Bundy giving an surreal news interview, and perhaps worst of all, Bundy defending himself in court (in a scene that would make a courtroom skit on SNL seem sedate). Do yourself a favor and pass on this bloody awful mess.

An American legend that will never be forgotten
artrambler-ru_9612 June 2011
Warning: Spoilers
I respect the work of Michael Feifer. He certainly is not perfect films, but much better than that Ulli Lommel. Michael is obsessed with the topic of serial killers and took a lot of movies about them. Many of his films have received harsh criticism, but, as his efforts to remove a good movie seen. Ted Bundy, the most popular American serial killer. All his victims were young girls. He killed the ear, and then raped. These actions resulted in him that he had parted with his beloved, he tore off her anger, he tore the anger on others. Most of the facts of life Bundy were included in the film. Of course not all the facts, but that is no reason to curse the movie. Corin Nemec, though not like Bundy, but well played and I remember a long time. Other actors also coped well with the roles, also pleased the presence of Kane Hodder, aka Jason, and this is a real gift for fans of horror movies. What are the facts here are displayed? Bundy's childhood, his first love, school days, that he wanted to go into politics, how he defended himself in court. It is no longer enough. Certainly not a few blunders, but with this budget, filmed pretty well. A good and interesting movie, but not a masterpiece. I do not understand why he did not much like. The fact that the director is trying to remove a good movie it is evident, he tried, and got quite good.

Excellent portrait, overall good movie
GinaisaHorrorFanatic21 July 2009
This is one of the few true crime films that I found to be wonderfully put together, accurate and original. It is well-written, and the director obviously did his research. The film is enjoyable to watch, because it has style, and the storyline doesn't lull and revolve around a court case like many films based on real killers. It is reminiscent of the director's 2007 film, Ed Gein: Butcher of Plainfield, as it stays true to the real story of the killer while providing entertainment and using realistic blood and gore. Though it was a good film, I can't give it a 10 out of 10 because there was a decent portion of bad acting throughout it. The actor who played Bundy did a great job, but all of the other characters (with the exception of Kane Hodder as the Warden) lacked in their ability to deliver dialogue. If you believe that visual appeal and good writing can make up for bad acting, and you're into true crime, this is definitely one to check out.

Dull And Boring
Lechuguilla5 September 2011
An episodic plot renders this film structurally inane. One scene has Ted in the desert on his hands and knees howling like a wolf. Cut to an interior scene in some house at Christmas where Ted is on the phone as a suicide prevention counselor. Where's the connection between these two events? The film doesn't tell us. The plot is filled with these random scenes from random periods in Bundy's life, sans any sense of flow or continuity.

Slow, dull, and boring, this film reeks of a quickly written script and overall quick, superficial production. There's not an ounce of suspense or tension. Episodes are long and drawn out. Bundy's manipulation skills are not well displayed, though the one sequence at the restaurant wherein he proposes marriage comes close to showing how he could deceive. Dialogue lacks subtext. The final twenty-minute segment is marginally interesting but only because the real-life outcome is so gripping.

Corin Nemec is dreadfully miscast as Bundy. Nemec, who vaguely resembles a youthful Pat Boone, looks nothing at all like the real Ted Bundy. The crooked smile comes across as contrived. And Nemec plays Bundy like a caricature. Many of the supporting performances are overplayed.

If ever there was a real-life serial killer whose public persona offers the potential for a riveting movie, surely Ted Bundy is the one. Unfortunately, a dreadful script makes for a muddled, incoherent storyline, helped not at all by poor casting and bad acting.

Why?

There is quite literally no point in even considering giving up two hours of your life to see this 'movie'. If you like sub-par acting, blatantly unfitting soundtracks, mediocre character development, and if you like movies that progress at the speed of political ethics reform, then you'll love it. If you are or have any sort of love or fascination for serial killers, you can rest easy knowing that NOTHING you would look for in a movie will be found here. Imagine the first season of Dexter, how beautifully it unfolded, how poetically honest and intimate it was. Now picture the spectral opposite of that. NOW imagine that the this opposite ate some bad Thai and threw up. That puddle of vomit is this 'movie'. Just the thought that this will forever be attached to Bundy's legacy makes my skin crawl, a fact that is only exacerbated by the inevitability that so many ignorant people will accept it as truth.

Movie Hell, Soundtrack Heaven

Seriously, all I got from this storyline was that Ted Bundy was a monster. I already knew that because I've seen a couple of other films that tell Bundy's tale in an interesting manner. This one does not. However, the sound editing, along with the musical contributions from Andres Boulton, Diane Hall and Johnny Childe, are intriguing enough to make me want to seek out this film on DVD. Diane Hall's rendition of "Renegade Girl" (a la D. Hall & Friends) yanked me out of disinterest and led me in a direction I wasn't really prepared for. From that point on, I paid more attention to the music and background audio than I remember ever doing during a first viewing of any film. Now, I want to hear it again.
