- [first lines]
- Kahlil: I tried to bring food for you, but there is none.
- Affirmi: My village too is out of food.
- Kahlil: Both our villages will starve if this war keeps going.
- Affirmi: [an explosion sounds] Take cover, Kahlil!
- [the two duck then brace themselves against a cliff wall as missiles and tanks rage around them]
- Affirmi: It's OK, Kahlil. The shooting will be over soon.
- Kahlil: [desperately] I want it over now...!
- Abu: You have saved our lives. Thank you.
- Linka: You could best thank us by stopping this war.
- Abu: I cannot. Yosef attacked our people without warning. Come to our village. Then you will understand.
- Gi: Let's hurry while that tank's still topsy-turvey.
- Affirmi: [walking off] Papa... these people are right. You must stop this fighting.
- Abu: You are only a child, Affirmi. You do not understand.
- Yosef: Stupid tank! It cost me a fortune and it doesn't even work right.
- [kicks it, then grips his foot and cries out in pain]
- Kahlil: Father! Are you all right?
- Yosef: I will be, just as soon as I buy a better tank.
- Affirmi: Wait! Please, give half my food to my friend Kahlil at the other village!
- [runs off]
- Kwame: I wish *he* was the village chief instead of his father.
- Looten Plunder: [running from the battle they didn't expect to be launched yet] don't those fools know that guns are dangerous?
- Argos Bleak: I think so, Mr. Plunder. That's what you told 'em in your sales pitch.
- [sees a tank heading for them]
- Argos Bleak: AHHH! And this is one time you didn't lie!
- Argos Bleak: [laughing] The tanks're tearing up the fields! They'll never harvest *that* crop!
- Looten Plunder: Who cares? I'll get my money.
- Argos Bleak: Mr. Plunder, you sure know how to start a war.
- Looten Plunder: And a booming business it is.
- Captain Planet: This village has been here for hundreds of years. And those weapons will destroy it in five minutes. Unless...
- [grabs and hauls off a tank]
- Captain Planet: The best thing to do about a war is to get out of it.
- Looten Plunder: [Captain Planet throws down and ruins one of his vehicles] Drat! That tank wasn't even paid for yet! Now I'll never be able to sell it on the used-weapons market!
- Yosef: Thank goodness you are alive, my son.
- Abu: [sinking to his knees clutching his shoulders] Kahlil - I almost lost you.
- Yosef: [to Kwame] How can I ever repay you?
- Abu: Yes, how?
- Kwame: By finally listening to what your sons tell you: stop this foolish war.
- Yosef: [clenching a fist] Never!
- Kahlil: [gripping it with both hands] Do you not understand? Looten Plunder tricked you by making you afraid of each other!
- Kwame: It is true, Yosef. Who told you that Abu was going to attack? Was it the same person who sold you arms?
- Yosef: [gasping] Mr. Plunder!
- Abu: And, Abu, who told you that *Yosef* was planning to attack?
- Yosef: You are right. It *was* Plunder.
- Affirmi: Please, Papa, stop the war. Kahlil and I want us all to be friends again.
- Looten Plunder: One more missile and it's curtains for Captain Planet.
- Wheeler: Wrong, Plunder! The critics are givin' your show two thumbs down!
- Wheeler: Are you sure you're okay?
- Captain Planet: I'll feel better when Looten Plunder gets what he deserves!
- Captain Planet: [laughs after placing Plunder and Bleak on an iceberg] I just hope they don't try to sell any weapons to the penguins.
- Captain Planet: Our world can be a place of peace, or a battlefield.
- Ma-Ti: Peace begins at home. Even your schoolyard can be a place for friendships...
- Linka: ...or a place for making enemies.
- Wheeler: Fighting isn't about being brave.
- Kwame: It is about being dumb.
- Captain Planet: Why fight when it's smarter to make friends?
- Gi: That way, everybody wins!
- Captain Planet: The power is yours!
