...because the contestants were SO annoying!!!
The show itself is fun to watch and has a cool game show premise. It's kind of like a mash up of a kids Rainey day fantasy game meets escape room that's made up of obsticles instead of clues and brain teasers. It looks hard but, fun. As far as the contestants go, it was really the 1st team that took the cake. It consisted of a mother and her teenage, twin boy and girl. The mother was sporting a lovely pair of shiney, tight hot pants, like the ones Sandra Dee wore in the finale of Greece, (Just wondering...who let her wear those on TV??) her snarky twin daughter that had an air of spoiled rotten and zero athleticism. She felt it was necessary to throw a dig at her mother during the exit interview instead for giving her props for completing the course, where as she made it maybe 1 or 2 hops in before sliding in to the drink, excuse me, "Lava". The twin son was really the savior of that trio, he pulled most of the weight, had a positive attitude and encouraged and cheered the ladies as they went along. They were really to have him there. Next came the male triplet gang....If they focused more on working as a team instead of showboating, one upping each other and ripping on each others hairdos maybe they might have done a little better. Maybe. Finally came the 3 Pastors from No. California. My only criticism...the 2 men should have helped their female teammate who was stuck on a pyramid with no real footholds get across to the next landing instead of abandoning her on top of that thing, leaving her to attempt a jump no one ever could have made. So, that's the long and short of the 1st episode. I'm interested to see where the producers are going to go as far as their choices for contestants.
