*full disclosure: a screener of this film was provided by director Martin Binder.
**here be spoilers.
Director/writer: Martin Binder.
"Quick Shop" is a short film from director Martin Binder ("One-Day Seminar"), which situates itself in the horror genre. Horror is all about tragedy and here, in "Quick Shop," Binder shows some understanding of a genre that is a lot more complex than most give it credit for. In the film, two friends are on a road trip to visit a friend and along the way they stop in at a convenience store. Here things go from normal and ordinary to strange and unexpected. Character Hunter Williams (Chris Stevens) gets interrupted while relieving himself. Things go downhill from here on in for Hunter.
Now a presumed murderous butcher is shutting off the lights, locking the doors and chasing Hunter and his friend Trevor (Rob F. Herick III) around an after hours corner store.
