Love it!

I think "Fantasmagoria" is an amazing series, I liked season one a lot. The eerie settings and background music definitely set the mood. The animations are amazing and I enjoy being entertained in one well made, fun show. If you loved the first season of "Lore" you'll love "Fantasmagoria"

Intriguing!

The first season was an interesting mix of re-enactments and narration of the historical context behind each episode. The way they are told here is compelling and intelligent, and beautifully produced. It's a little miracle if consider that it is a low cost product!

Sometimes I never heard of the story that is told. It's really instructive I hope that they keep going this show on season two, is very exciting!

Spooky short stories with great animation and pacing.

I found this little gem on Hulu at 3 am one night . Simce it was the witching hour and it being October first, I decided to give it a shot. Honestly, I'm glad I did. I was pleasantly surprise by this collection of short stories.

First off, I really enjoyed the format. Every episode was anywhere from 2 to 4 minutes in length, so it was easily digestible . I watched all 3 seasons in the span of one night. It also never dragged on so I was never bored with any episode. It would set the mood or tone of the story, tell the story, and move on. I thought this was a great idea as nowadays people's attention spans are about as long as a blink.

Secondly, I really enjoyed the animation style. The stories are all of Latin and Hispanic descent, so the art appropriately had an almost folky Dia De Los Muertos feel to it. I also like that they kept the same narrator throughout the series. It gave it more continuity and I genuinely enjoyed his voice. He had a very dark raspy baritone voice. It reminded me of a jaded cop going over the details of murder cases but he's seen so much it almost comes off nonchalant.

Lastly, this is more of an observation then anything. One stereotype of Latin people is that they are very sensual. A good majority of these stories deal with relationships, jealousy, revenge and betrayal. Just a heads up.

All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed it and was entertained. I hope they make more seasons. It's definitely not mind blowing, but for what it is, it's spooky fun and there are worst ways to spend a Wednesday night.

I'm feeling a solid A on this one.
