Did you know you have a state homeschool organization working for you? State organizations PROMOTE homeschooling, PROVIDE valuable resources to help you homeschool successfully, and PROTECT your right to educate you children. These organizations are the first line of defense in monitoring state laws which would affect your family, then when action is needed, they rally their members and coordinate with other organizations to influence policy. We encourage every homeschool family to join their state homeschool organization (and HSLDA). Many people fought for years to gain the freedom to home educate and if we are not diligent we can quickly lose that freedom. Yvette Hampton talks with Rebecca Kocsis, who works for CHEA (Christian Home Educators Association of California), an organization that holds a special place in Yvette's heart. You'll hear why Yvette loves CHEA and get to know more about what state homeschool organizations are doing for you.
