- ["Franklin's Badge"]
- Narrator: Franklin could count by twos and tie his shoes. He could tell a birch from a maple tree and he could chirp like a chickadee. But there were many other things Franklin wanted to learn.
- Franklin Turtle: I didn't know you could light a fire with stones.
- Mr. Fox: You can if the stone is a flint. They're handy if you don't have any matches. Have a seat, kids. Let's get started. Welcome to the Woodland Valley Trailblazers.

- Mr. Fox: I'm pleased to present you with the Caring Brother Badge.
- Franklin Turtle: Gee, thanks.
- Mr. Fox: You earned it by keeping your Trailblazer pledge top put others before yourself. And don't worry, you have plenty of time to earn other badges.
- Franklin Turtle: I know. And it'll be way easier now that I made Harriet take the Turtle Tracker pledge.
- Mr. Fox: Oh?
- Franklin Turtle: [holding up his right hand] "I promise not to bother my brother when he's trying to earn his Trailblazer badges."

- ["Franklin Stargazes"]
- Narrator: Franklin could count by twos and tie his shoes. He could name twenty dinosaurs and lots of different trees too. But Franklin still had much to learn about the stars and the planets.
- Franklin Turtle: There wasn't any rush to spend all my bonus bucks. I could have waited, instead of getting this telescope.
- Bear: Well, it's like my Dad always says --- "live and learn."
- Franklin Turtle: I sure learned the hard way this time.

- Franklin Turtle: Wow! Ever neat! You can actually see the Earth's shadow on the face of the moon!
- Beaver: This was a great idea, Franklin. We both get to use the telescope...
- Franklin Turtle: And the tent keeps the bugs out.
- Beaver: You know, we could share them.
- Franklin Turtle: Yeah! Then we can learn about astronomy together. Let's call this the Mt. Woodland Observatory. Okay, Beaver?
- Beaver: It's a deal, Franklin.
