In "Clumsy Luck," a giant meteorite crashed into Clumsy's house in the Smurf Village, destroying it and the Smurfs came very near to the impact site soon after that. There are three factual errors in this scene:
- One: the meteorite impact is very inaccurate as it should have left a huge crater in the Village and caused numerous Smurf deaths or injuries as many Smurfs were near the impact area. The meteorite impact site did not create a huge crater, and there were no Smurf casualties.
- Two: there was a huge flame that appeared in the forest after the meteorite crashed, giving the impression that it caused major damage, but the Smurf Village and the surrounding forest are mostly unaffected except Clumsy's house. With the impact depicted (and seen from a distance from both Papa Smurf and Homnibus), the meteorite should have destroyed the entire village, killed/seriously injured most of the Smurfs there, and burned parts of the forest. None of these things happened.
- Three: Brainy, Smurfette and the other Smurfs would have received burns because of the heat generated by the meteorite when it crashed into Earth. However, they are able to come near the meteorite unharmed.
