Another unnecessary episode

Didn't learn much in this one - more angst over personal failings, rehashing of minor plots, more videos of Keith on various subjects. At least Sarah gets all her info to the FBI.

Insight from Nippy!

Finally someone shows what looks like sincere insight! Maybe Nippy will be okay. This episode is one of the first where one of the participants acknowledged being both a victim and a perpetrator and it didn't feel self-aggrandizing or like (Mark) acting and delivering fake speeches. Good luck to you Nippy.

Decent but this is taking far too long

Warning: Spoilers
Every episode lately seems to slog along-not really getting anywhere at anything resembling a reasonable speed-I understand the producers want the viewers to feel empathy for the victims, but cramming the point home seems a little too heavy-handed here.

I feel horribly for Bonnie; her warning signs were going off almost immediately-but her 'husband' Mark was too busy gaslighting her to hear them, as well.

Yes, Raniere and co. are horrible people who did horrible things; however, it's a little like getting upset with a farmer for having cows on the road, except you're driving down a road through his pasture with no regard for the gate you busted down in the process.

There's a reason someone like Raniere finds success-far too many people ignoring far too many warning signs in the name of self preservation; those innate senses within yourself have been cultivated through centuries of lessons, ignore them at your own peril. This is precisely the same methodology that traps young people within the snares of a murderer-ignoring those giant flashing signs your brain is pleading with you to observe, all because 'be polite, be helpful!' has been drilled into their head.

It's not altogether implausible for good people to do horrible things- history is riddled with a plethora of examples; when someone you trust enough to MARRY is telling you 'hey, something isn't right here' and you choose to ignore them in favor of your own gratification, the problem isn't them.

I'm honestly surprised Mark and Bonnie are still together; there's many issues at play here, not the least of which (criminally ignorant) Catherine actually hysterically laughing at Bonnie, without even fathoming how completely inappropriate what she's doing is, AND THEN, Mark flipping out and making it all about HIM. It's not him comforting Bonnie-oh no, it's Bonnie actually soothing his overweening ego and CALMING HIM DOWN. I mean, what? Mark is still so wrapped up in himself and still just can't come to terms with his role. Even talking with 'Nippy' who finally has to spell it out for Mark, and yet he still doesn't get it. Mark desperately needs to seek professional help to reprogram his head and stop thinking he's the center of the universe. He needs to stop trying to pin everything on Keith and the cabal and start admitting how culpable he is in all this.

Ask Patty Hurst how you can be a victim as well as a criminal.

Save yourself (skip this EP)

Warning: Spoilers
Apparently this episode tries to make the audience feel as bad as the Nxvim Cult members, because all it does is overuse marketing videos of Keith blathering on.

The stories narrative barely moves in this EP. It's sole purpose is to kill time for the finale where the FBI findings unfold.

horrible

I really didn't need full videos of Kieth doing his thing. We get it. We got it a couple of episodes ago. I hated this episode, it was unnecessary and clearly just to fill time.
