This episode, obviously inspired by Richard Matheson's episode "Prey" from Trilogy of Terror (1975), features the "Zuni Fetish Doll" from that episode (at 38:45) and was written by Richard's son.
This episode was based on "Battleground", a short story by Stephen King. It was first published in the September 1972 issue of Cavalier magazine, and later collected in King's 1978 collection Night Shift.
