I'm really enamoured with this show and can't seem to get enough of it. I strongly advise you to watch Amna and Shankar's sweet romance Story at least once.

Boring and slow
nimishk-5724115 January 2022
Extremely boring and slow and seems to make a hero out of an immoral protagonist.
Few pointers:
1) failed attempt to whitewash extramarital affairs and wrongdoing of high profile people.
2) Bollywood biggies are still counting on remakes, sex, sleazy stories where others are making Bahubali, KGF, Gullak, permanent roommates, Pitchers. And they wonder why south movies or content driven OTT series do humongous business and get widespread acceptability.

This time, Mahesh Bhatt set up a mind blowing presentation. In this show Ranjish Hi Sahi, Amna and Shankar have an astonishing affection story. This is a really ardent series. We are excited in the wake of seeing it.
Missed Opportunity!

This could have been an absolute gem if not for a few issues including pacing, some of the BGM (you'll notice a remarkable similarity to Harry Potter theme in places, I kid you not), strange inclusion of 'The Watchman' character (which, to me, undermined the narrative) etc. Lacluster effort in creating a '70s vibe (they throw in bell bottoms and a couple other things but ultimately an unsucessful attempt). Proper editing overall would have made this such a great series. Presentation of timeline also leaves a lot to be desired and contributes to pacing issues. In many scences, the sound seemed hollow and not in a melancholy/depressing portrayal rather as an editing flaw - as if they forgot the surroundings.
The acting is in general very good specially by Amala Paul. The portrayal, psychological profile and behaviorial aspects of Amna Parvez are absolutely spot on. I would have loved to see more screen time from her as well as Anju (the wife). Other performances also leave their mark. The cinematography is nice.
Surely worth a binge watch on a lazy evening!

Demeaning all women in his life!

Again, Mahesh Bhatt is back to what he does best. Blaming everyone and everything in his life for his shortcomings. Even this is NOT an attempt to seek forgiveness. This is another shameful attempt to once again milk a celebrity for viewership. Parveen Babi was once again put through scrutiny. Very sad, and makes me lose lot of respect for this Mahesh Bhatt (had very little). The actors seemed miscast, on a purely resemblance basis. Tahir's vig was pathetic. I mean who was the costume designer?still, managed to finish the show. Left a bad taste in my mouth towards the makers..
Best l've ever seen

What was happening in the series only the Makers know
The story is about a poor director who struggles to became something then he falls in love with a ongoing hit heroine along with his wife and daughter..then suddenly the series shows him getting a big award..the direction is totally mindless and the series is going extremely slow sometimes in past and in present..I think Tahir is now a days is playing love triangle's he tried hard to play his role but it failed
There are other good options to see this weekend.
