Horror actor Bill Oberst Jr. has been in such thrilling films as A Haunting in Salem, Nude Nuns with Big Guns and The Devil Within . He contorts in many disturbing ways in some of his more recent films such as Vivid. He has also opened up his X-mas buying gift shop which features one of the most bizarre items seen by 28Dla, a severed ear. Bill Oberst Jr. is the definition of “the horror actor”, the working actor doesn’t prefer anything outside of the horror genre and wouldn’t have it any other way. Oberst has some cool projects in the works including Vivid and Legend of the Red Reaper, he shares some stories about working on True Blood and MTV’s upcoming horror series Death Valley. The actor keeps busy for sure! Check out my latest Versus with Bill Oberst Jr. to learn more about this hard working cool actor.
Brian S- First off you've really been cranking out film projects since 2007. How'd you get into acting?
Bill Oberst Jr.- I was a bizarre-looking kid who loved monsters and the other kids made fun of me. I learned a useful equation: "If You Entertain People, They Will Not Hit You." So my whole career has pretty much been about trying to get people not to hit me.

Corbin Bleu I never thought in my lifetime that I would be running a post talking about a horror film starring both Corbin Bleu (High School Musical) and Bill Oberst Jr. (Dismal). The two seem so completely opposite of one another. Corbin Bleu was this cute little kid in High School Musical. Bill Oberst Jr. is a frightening, iconic indie horror film actor of such films as Dismal, Vivid & A Haunting in Salem. The two team up together to star in the new horror themed anthology "Scary or Die".
I have to say when I initially heard about the project, I was expecting something family friendly cause of Corbin's background, but it seems that Scary or Die is the full throttle horror that genre fans crave. It also appears that Scary or Die is a solid chance for Corbin to be seen as an adult actor. This masterfully done teaser...

333 is about a couple on a romantic roadtrip who spend the night at an eeire honeymooner's retreat. They soon suspect the place is haunted. ...Or could it possibly be that the creepy caretakers are up to something far more sinister?
In 333, Bill Oberst Jr. will play a shadow man with goat eyes who torments the main character, Amy, as he pursues her at supernaturally high speeds, all the while whispering sweet nothings in her terrified ears like "You're gonna burn Amy!" Think back to Robert De Niro (Heat). Think back to Al Pacino (Scent of a Woman). Robert De Niro was known for his intensity. Al Pacino was known for his flashy screen presence. Now think of veteran character actor of horror films, Bill Oberst Jr. (Dismal, Vivid, The Devil Within). Bill Oberst Jr. has both the flash of Pacino and the intensity of De Niro. It's the best of both worlds in one package. And directors and producers are taking notice. In less then four years, Bill Oberst Jr. has had well over thirty film credits. Since he works his fair share in the horror genre, he is often seen playing the villain or the creepy guy or even, on occasion, the rapist. However, Bill Oberst Jr. wants you to know that their is more to him then just that. That he has an extra layer of dimensionality. That he's not just one note.

The Devil Within is a throwback to the slasher films of the 80's when it was all about blood and tits and teenagers getting punished for their amoral behavior with a grisly death. However, a common element that made those films work was the pacing. Unfortunately with The Devil Within, the pacing is completely off. With The Devil Within, you have introductory scenes establishing who the characters are, party sequences and then an attempt to tie it all together with the slasher film elements coming into place. However, a key component that made the 80's slasher work were stalking scenes involving the...

Nnwbg PosterThis is an independent film which has been making a lot of buzz for mixing sexuality with spirituality, especially Catholicism. Nude Nuns with Big Guns offers more than controversy however, as Sister Sarah is tormented in this first trailer for the film. This is a mature clip, since Sarah is drugged, stripped and left for dead. But much like Jesus she returns from near death to prove that she "is one bad mother!" (Camelot). Check out the clip below.

Other grammatical errors will be pointed out to get more people on a better grammatically correct track. During his time as a filmmaker Guzman has worked as producer on the short film Spyware, the supernatural thriller Chingaso the Clown, and the feature Driving Bill Crazy in 2008. His first feature as a director was the ultra-violent Run! Bitch Run!, which starred Christina DeRosa and Cheryl Lyone. This film involved two Catholic schoolgirls on the run from crazed drug dealers. Guzman has also worked as an art director on several films and his latest film is called Nude Nuns with Big Guns. The Devil Within DVD ArtDirector: Tom Hardy.
Writer: Matt Dean.
The Devil Within is a straight to DVD release from Seminal Films, which was distributed July 1st. The film was written by Matt Dean and The Devil Within is a paint by numbers slasher film, with some twists along the way, especially at the end. A performance by Bill Oberst Jr. (The Secret Life of Bees) is prominently chilling as Oberst plays a perverted, prayer reciting principal.
The film's story begins with a group of high schoolers preparing for an eighteenth birthday party for one of the cool crowd known as Sirena. The event gets off to an awkward start as the weed has been forgotten by the film's comedic relief. Things liven up with a few keg-stands, but then deteriorate for the party-goers, with one uninvited guest bringing bloodlust and very sharp knives. The finale comes after a great deal of hack and slash,...
