Busy doing setups for later.

Juliana Margulies (probably spelled wrong) was great. I had not seen her since ER.

Typical third episode here. Setting up for the coming season story arcs. That is fine. I want to see more Mitch. He is the most interesting character. How can he come back from being down? Can he do it morally? Is he really a good guy?

One gripe. Phone text messages need to be on the screen?! I just cannot read the phone screens even on pause.

Weak Episode
gromero-509996 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
There was no sexual tension or even a hint of attraction before that kiss. It felt gratuitous and forced. It was a weak introduction to a story arc. I really enjoyed season one, I hope this season gets better.

Burning Rubber Again

Warning: Spoilers
The Kiss, people don't get it, it was not done by Bradley cause she fancied Laura, it was done to shock Laura, as a deflection from the question Laura just asked, which Bradley would have had to say NO she was not Vetted, she was not given the job by the bosses. She was never intended to get the job. So that NO could have ended her career as "how can you trust a reporter with that info" The shock was when Laura did not get upset or angry but kissed her back.

I don't believe Bradley wants a gay relationship, But the whole episode was back up and revving, episode 1 was dire, episode 2 is much better.

The kiss just adds to the question "Who is the Real Bradley" the nice genuine person from season 1, or the total SOB we are seeing in season 2?

Role reversal
kingsx_6424 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This episode was definitely better then the previous.

More like the first season.

It seems they did a role reversal.

Bradley is now acting like A pampered, arrogant and self centered diva. You know, just like Alex last season.

Which is fine. Alex was never written as a role model to be looked up to. And definitely not a strong powerful woman like so many confused people think she is.

In fact, when Jennifer Aniston was asked why she took the role, she responded, 'because I've never gotten a chance to play a character like her." Interviewer, 'Why, what's she like?" Oh, shes a train wreck. A fun train wreck, but a train wreck nonetheless'. Then when asked if she had anything in common with her character Jennifer responded, quote "She's everything I never wanted to be.' So, still think she's a role model?

Then you are confusing power with strength.

They are NOT the same.

What a great role to play...he is awesome! The drama between Bradley and everyone else is building and wonderfully uncomfortable...only getting better!

Warning: Spoilers
This episode jumps the shark because the show doesn't suggest that Bradley was a lesbian? The show didn't suggest she was straight either?! It didn't suggest anything so both sides of that argument are moot.

This season has taken a dip and it hasn't been as good, but just because they've got a main character kissing another girl doesn't mean jumping the shark. You're watching a show that deals with the #metoo movement around the media, so if the pro feminist, "woke" or lgbtq+ offends you than this show wasn't for you in the first place.

Tackling these issues isn't going to please everyone as it's splitting opinions and the platform of tv/film is great for that and we are all untitled to our opinions.

Alex back in the fray
zachmetzgers13 December 2021
Things start to get more interesting in this episode with Alex transitioning back onto The Morning Show and the politics and drama that goes with that! At the moment, Alex is more understandable and relatable, and Bradley is not so likeable.

Such a surprise!

Warning: Spoilers
I love the series because of creating individual unique characters. Although the characters are well created and you can predict their next move, there are some moments that characters surprise you!

Like Alex's news announcement in the last episode in first season!

I love these moments and the last scene at this episode give me the same vibe!

Favorite scene with

Alex Levy (Jennifer Aniston) - Her Interview with Laura.

Bradley Jackson (Reese Witherspoon) - Laura asking her a Personal Question Off The Record and kissing her in response and Laura kissing her back. Wow!

Warning: Spoilers
Disappointed with the follow-up season so far. I think the Laura/Bradley thing is gratuitous, as it does nothing to broaden Bradley's character. If the kiss was supposed to be a pleasant surprise, or an "Ahhh!" moment, it failed miserably. I cant see Bradley falling for Laura's obvious conniving. If Bradley wants to sandbag Alex, she's smart enough to figure out a less obvious way. And I wish Fred would go away and let Mitch do his own thing with the fallout. I don't want to see this show turn into another prime time soap opera.,which, sadly, it is becoming.

They did what!!
moviesfilmsreviewsinc16 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The smooch essentially comes out of nowhere and, to be honest, feels like the kind of sensationalistic and/or salacious twist that this sort of show should be above. We've had little indication prior to this moment that Bradley is into women in that way, and the slight hint that she might just be kissing Laura in order to keep her from asking about the fact that Bradley wasn't exactly vetted for her co-host role makes everything uncomfortable. But making it seem as though Bradley threw herself at the first person in a while who was both nice to her and complimented her professional skill is...well, Reese Witherspoon deserves better. In fairness, I wish The Morning Show was spending more time on Alex's clearly mixed emotions about returning to the job she left behind, and the way she seems to both crave and resent the way everyone at TMS and UBA keeps referring to her as some kind of feminist icon. The entire subplot of sending Daniel to Wuhan, China seemed like a waste and accomplished almost nothing, save showing viewers that thousands of people were forced to evacuate before the city shut down. Unfortunately, Stella has still had little to do so far this season beyond performing basic lackey duties for Cory, which feels like so much wasted potential when she's actually suggesting the sorts of things that would turn the network around. It's not an accident that it's Stella who wanted to overhaul the entire make-up of The Morning Show and agitated to bring in hosts that weren't cis white women. Yet, it still feels like with every episode that passes things just slip back toward the status quo of.

Julianna Margulies is the best!
tvnerdx9919 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Julianna Margulies stole the spotlight in this episode! Laura Peterson is one of the rare characters that you can't help but root for. She is strong, confident, she has nothing to hide and she just has this power and she takes control of the room the moment she steps in. I could totally see why Alex would feel threatened by her.

Julianna Margulies is the greatest and it is so good to see her back on TV doing what she does the best.

Also can we talk about the ending!! I did not see that coming! Sure i sensed the attraction between Bradley and Laura throughout the episode but i didn't think expect the KISS! Loved it!

The Episode That Jumps the Shark
testamp4 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
And only the beginning of the 2nd season. The show was always a feminist utopia, but the end of this episode totally jumped the shark. There was nothing to suggest Bradley was a lesbian, so her going all in on Laura jumps the shark for her character. I found the first season to be excellent, with compelling characters - even given its feminist leanings. But this season has gone "all-in". And it's certainly suffered. I'm a male viewer and I understand this show perhaps isn't written for my demographic - but who is it written for then?

Laura
bobcobb30124 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
While Julianna Margulies is good in most of her TV roles, this does not feel like a good fit. And then of course the ending just felt completely unnecessary.

Not sure what the game plan is for season 2.

I prefer to judge episodes on their own...not
jpapanone5 September 2022
As part of the larger season. I'm not even sure if i can rate or leave a review for an entire season as opposed to just an episode...or the series.

So I hate to say that season 2 is not as good as season 1...which wasn't that good anyway...but I have been bored these season 2 episodes.

Typical Morning show. A handful of good lines or scenes an episode... but the pacing is just so drawn out.

This ain't Sports Night...and this ain't Newsroom.

And I HATE actual morning shows. And Hisan Minaj is doing an excellent job of me absolutely hating what I hate in real life.

That over the top fakeness...he nails it right on.

Did the writers from Season 1 die?
reviv-383047 September 2023
It feels like the writers had developed a near perfect 1 season TV series. Like most here observe , season 2 fell off the cliff. The writers obviously didn't plan for season 2 , otherwise we wouldn't have what we have here. Suddenly the lead is a Lesbian and Mitch the most interesting character is 1 dimensional while the whole thing feels off.

You have destroyed one of the best season 1 TV shows I have ever seen. Many I can see feel the same, and why? There's so much to explore and nothing has happened in season 2 yet. Its so slow , so to spice it up some half writer says , hey lets make her gay. The twist? Come on, we deserve better than that. We want what we had in season one, not this desperate run out of ideas and the obvious frustration to fill the episode. The characters have all lost their soul. Its like watching another show.

Why ??
myaallen-4125622 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Why has Bradley turned into a diva. She's not herself at all. And why did they dye her hair and change her personality. She was supposed to be the fresh air on the show but she's turned into something worse. I want to like the show because of Jennifer Aniston but there has been a lot of cringe.. the Mitch storyline was a stretch. And now this Bradley liking a woman.. I thought this was going to be a decent show but getting a little over the top especially introducing the coronavirus. I Wish shows would leave that out. I'm glad Chip is back .. also not a fan of Stella . But of course gotta meet quota.
