It wasn't bad at all. Would love to buy katerina a pair of Rhodesian Ridgeback. She would be delicate.

A Darkly Comic Indie
lorrisaj12 May 2021
I liked this one, in spite of the fact that I don't necessarily like most indie films. It was fun to watch, the pace was good, made good use of it's locations, the laughs were unexpected, and it kept me engaged and guessing what was next. The actors were uniformly excellent. Irector Laura Neri crafted a fun movie night on Prime!
All the best of Ancient Greek comedy, but set in LA. With babes.

"Kill The Habit" is a modern, feminist Western that evokes late-90s Coen and Wes Anderson. Galia, Soti, and Cardamosa are reimagined Greek Sirens on a voyage of their own, wreaking havoc (at times like cowgirls-on-the-run) set against a Wild-At-Heart landscape of wannabe junkies and awkward family pariahs. It's like if Bandits and Jackie Brown had a love child. That is this film!
It's funny...

How this unknown film from a decade ago has pretty much all positive reviews. Even weirder is how they're all from the last 2 years. I think maybe 1 of them is less than a 9.
While it's seems made relatively competenly I have yet to laugh once at the 20 min marker.
And it's a full 40 mins before we even get to the plot device. I'm quitting of boredom.

New and Fun Indie Film

Kill the Habit is a beautifully shot indie film that has great plot twists and fantastic acting. Every time I go into an indie film I'm always nervous about how the acting will be. Kill the Habit is well directed and the actors carry the storyline all the way home. I would highly recommend this film for anyone in search of a new and entertaining movie.
Black comedy with more than a few twists
NZfilmfinder5 April 2021
After a disagreement and a spur of the moment act of violence a drug dealer Lyall is killed by fun-loving Galia who was just looking for a good time and her next score. After the accidental death, she's got a problem, disposing of a dead body and perhaps his large stash of drug money. Should she take it? But matters are further complicated by the dealers girlfriend who is also staying at his apartment. She also decides to involve her best friend Soti. Now the three women must try and get away with murder and money. Kill the Habit is a great black comedy full of twists and turns that'll keep you guessing until the end. Will they get away with it?
Brilliant neo-noir comedy

Bravo Laura Neri! Kill the Habit was so enjoyable and original! A very bold and clever simple story line, well executed. Performances are top-notched and plot twists keeps you engaged till the very end and beyond. Make sure you stick around for the surprises in the end credits:)

Dark and Hilarious

I love dark comedy and I enjoyed this from start to finish. Great dialogue and acting. The women did a great job carting this movie. I agree with the comments about early Tarantino vibes also. Worth the watch for lovers of the dark side of comedy.

A brilliantly funny movie
NUDavis859-129 January 2021
This dark comedy will have you cracking up from beginning to end. All the characters play off well with each other as they keep getting into hilarious situations that stems from one dead guy. The dialogue is well written, the acting is top notch, and the jokes are funny. You cannot ask for anything more. Well, you can ask for a sequel but that's about it.
Comedy gold

Sometimes disposing of a drug dealer's body can be a hassle. In defense of the three women doing the disposing, none of them had much experience in such matters.
Deadpan humor permeates this movie. The dialog sparkles, which is a particularly good thing because there's a lot talking involved. The plot is logical, in a funny sort of way, and the story progresses smoothly except for a very few scenes where some momentum is lost.
Another outstanding attribute is how the writer, Laura Neri, seamlessly spliced in numerous small roles for a supporting cast. None lasted more than three or four minutes, but they added color and substance to the movie, and also gave several hopeful actors a nice addition to their resumes.
