The Haggermeyers
JordanThomasHall8 January 2019
Peter still doesn't feel at home in the Oakdell suburbs. Mary decides to have some of the neighbors over Saturday night. They all seem to be going to another neighbor's party- the Haggermeyers- the most important couple in the community. Meanwhile, Wilma is anxious to show them the Oakdell Courier mentioning their move. Mr. Haggermeyer (Paul Hartman, "The Andy Griffith Show") reads the paper and is excited to see that Peter Lindsey is living in Oakdell. He was retiring from vaudeville as "Peanuts Hagan" when Peter was beginning as a young comic and enjoys his work. Mrs. Haggermeyer (Linda Watkins) shares the enthusiasm and asks him to call and invite the Lindseys. He calls as "Peanuts" and while Peter is anxious to come over Saturday night, Mary is insistent they can't, hoping for an invitation from the Haggermeyers. At the beauty parlor Mary mistakes the Haggermeyer's maid Laura (Katherine Squire) for Mrs. Haggermeyer as they strike a friendship. The Lindseys are ecstatic to revieve an invitation in the mail and set off in a series of misdirections to the party. There, their mistaken identity of the Haggermeyers threatens trouble.

There's a very unique scene that uses a map with a live-action model car to illustrate the comical misdirections driving to the party. This episode has its moments, but not quite as funny as the opening installment.
