Wilma's Terms
JordanThomasHall4 February 2019
Wilma is overtired the morning after serving Peter and his poker buddies until 3:30 a.m. Peter asks Wilma to run some errands in town and then prepare a delicate lunch for a producer, Mr. Morley (Byron Morrow), coming over to discuss a new contract. The meal was so successful that Peter secured everything he was hoping for in his deal. Wilma's next door counterpart Gladys (Betty Garde, "Caged") gives her the idea to negotiate a new contract herself with the Lindseys. Peter's reaction is to show her that she can be replaced by interviewing other maids. Wilma is threatened by the other maids and she tells Gladys to forget the whole thing, but Gladys keeps pushing the issue. A reluctant Wilma gives a list of formal written demands to a hardened Peter. But, a compromise could be a bumpy road with different results than perhaps expected.
